Anthony walked home via his sister house.Daphne had married his friend Simon the Duke of Hastings the season before.They had arrived just the day before probably on report of Anthony's courtship.Anthony knocked on the door and their butler led him through to the drawing room.

''Anthony''Daphne got up out her seat and hugged her brother.

''Daphne''Anthony said''is Simon here?''

''Yes why?"

''I will tell you when he is here''

Daphne practically ran out the room and was out of sight in a minute so Anthony had time to laugh.By the time Daphne and Simon Anthony had barley been able to compose himself.

''What was it you wanted to tell us''Simon asked

''Me and Miss Sharma are engaged''Anthony grinned at the thought of Kate

''You are engaged?''Daphne but nearly shrieked

''Yes dear sister I am''Anthony said

''We will be hosting the engagement ball''Daphne said

''How about weeks time''Anthony asked''I want to marry her the day after the queen of hearts ball''

''Have you discussed it withe her''Simon asked

''Yes this morning''Anthony answered

''You must like her quite a lot''Daphne stated

''I think I love her''Anthony said a small smile gracing his face

''Does she love you''Simon asked

''I am pretty sure she does''Anthony answered

''When will we meet her''Daphne asked.She was overjoyed her overbearing brother had found love.

''Tomorrow's ball''Anthony Answered

''I am looking forward to it''Simon stated''as I need an ally in this clan of heathens''

''We are not heathens!''Anthony and Daphne said in unison.

Anthony made his way to Bridgerton House after having to endure an hour with his sister interrogating him which much to Simons amusement left Anthony with nothing else to say about Kate.He was greeted with the usual chaos that the household was often in.He made his way to the drawing room to find everyone there."Anthony your back I was starting to get worried."Violet greeted him

"I visited Daphne after calling on Kate"Anthony explained

"Kate?you have permission to use her Christian name?"Benedict butted in

"Doesn't one use his betrothed christian name"Anthony retorted and all the sudden the room was quiet

"You proposed?"Violet was the first to speak after the silence

"Yes this morning"Anthony answered

"Well when will the wedding be,We are hosting the engagement ball and the dower house will need refurbished"Violet started naming things and questions while pacing the room

"The wedding I hope will be the day after the queen of hearts ball,You and Daphne will have to fight about who is hosting the engagement ball and there is no need to use the dower house Kate and I would be very happy if you and the younger ones would stay here with us."Anthony

''I will be finding other accommodation newly weds need their space''Violet said with a knowing smile

Anthony started fake gagging before turning around and placing himself in an arm chair next to colin.Violet rolled her eyes playfully at Anthony antics but was glad that she saw the side Anthony had hid since he was 18.

"I am glad you used your sense and proposed to her while you could I overheard Dorset talking very fondly of her"Colin said to his brother

Anthony blood boiled "With intentions of courting my fiancé?"

Anthony got up and instead walked to his mother and told her they wouldn't be dining with them tonight as he was dining at Danbury House.
