Preparing for a Soiree

Kate had been unhappy to hear that Lady Danbury was hosting a soiree to let Edwina's suitors try to impress her.Edwina had also started to become picky about who she gave attention to and ignored the untitled Gentelmen.Kate had peaked at the list of guests and felt relived that The Bridgertons were invited.Edwina always stared daggers at Kate when Lord Bridgerton was mentioned and how lovely a couple they make.Edwina almost always managed to get the conversation back to her prospects.

Kate readied herself for the Soiree and once she was done she just stared at the vase of lilies which was one of the many bouquets lilies Lord Bridgerton sent.She started laughing in the latest version of Lady Whitseldown she remarked 'Lilies have been oddly short of supply lately'.She thought about how many bouquets she had received one every day sometimes twice a day.

She made her way down stairs where Lady Danbury and Mary sat preparing themselves for the evening.''Ah Kate there you are we were just talking about you''Mary said

''We were wondering when Lord Bridgerton will propose''Lady Danbury said and Kate blushed

''Probably not anytime soon''Kate answered

''As if you have not noticed the entire floral arrangements are lilies that Lord Bridgerton gave you''Mary said smiling

''I can see that''Kate smiled at his devotion to her

''I believe you two shall be engaged at the Queen of Hearts ball at Aubrey Hall I'm sure of it''Lady  Danbury said

''You never know when one might propose''Kate interjected

''It is rather obvious he is smitten''Mary laughed as Kate blushes

''And I do not doubt you feel the same Miss Sharma''Lady Danbury grinned at Kate as she blushed

''Is the Earl coming tonight''Edwina put herself in the conversation as she entered  

''I believe so Miss Edwina''Lady Danbury answered rather sharply

Anthony knew immediately what happened and ran to his fathers bed chamber to see his mother over his dead father.He cried wither as Benedict ran down to comfort the others with tears in his eyes he held Daphne as Colin comforted Eloise and Frannie.
