Sarah: Sam, wake up already. It’s three thirty right now... We’re going to be late...
She tried to wake me up in the morning... But I slept late the day before as I helped everyone clean up the place.
Sarah: Sam... You know what? I give up. I’ll go wake Fathima up first.
A few seconds later, I was awakened by the screams of fear.
Fathima: SAM! WE’RE LATE! WAKE UP NOW!
I rose quickly out of my bed and panicked with Fathima.
Samuel: How late are we?
Fathima: We only have thirty minutes left.
Fathima rushed back to her room to get dressed, and I followed her lead by getting ready. I could hear Sarah yelling from outside the room.
Sarah: You two get dressed. Breakfast will be provided on the train.
We hoped to make it on time.
...
And we did make it.
It’s twelve forty-one a.m. now, and we’re about to reach the location.
Fathima: I didn’t know you lived on the Northern Island. It’s such a beautiful place.
Sarah: I know, right?
I believe I haven’t explained this yet.
Kavnar consists of three islands. The largest is the Southern Island, which is full of resources and is the most populated. Then there is the Eastern Island, which is more industrially used by Kavnar. And finally, the smallest island, the Northern Island, has small, scattered towns with strong cultures and traditions. Plus, the Northern Island is known for its rich environment and sceneries.
I never had the chance to visit any of the Northern towns myself, as it was seen as rude to enter those areas without the respective leaders’ permission. I’d consider myself lucky to be invited to the Northern town, having heard that it’s rare for invitations to be made. I wonder how things would be in Sarah’s town.
Fathima: Look! We’re here!
Sarah: Even I didn’t notice...
The town of Fuko. I’ve heard it is one of the more peaceful towns on the island, with traditions that include the search for inner peace. If that exists...
The train came to a stop and as the doors opened, Fathima jolted out like an excited child. Sarah chased and yelled at her, telling her that she would get lost while I stood in the back, simply spectating them.
Samuel: Hey, hey... Give her a break Sarah. As you can see, she is excited about this trip.
Sarah: Yeah, but I heard you spent hours looking for her in the mall after the photoshoot. I can’t allow that to happen today.
Fathima: It’s not like I’m running away for good or anything.
Sarah: Listen here, you little girl. I would’ve left you free if our ride wasn’t here already.
Fathima: Little girl?
Samuel: This isn’t the time or place to start arguing. Fathima, I trust you to behave.
Fathima looks down and apologizes, which makes Sarah feel bad as she bought her a caramel doughnut.
Fathima: Caramel! My favorite! Thank you so much!
Samuel: I guess you already tamed the child...
Fathima: (munching) I am not a child.
Samuel: Also, Sarah, haven’t you mentioned that the ride was here?
