"You're being dramatic, Y/N," Hanni sighed as you continued to pace across the bedroom floor.
"I'm being dramatic?" You scoffed. "How so? Because I'm upset that you were practically drooling over the waitress tonight? The same waitress that kept flirting with you the entire time we were there? That kept checking you out!?"
"I was not drooling over her!" She argued. "And I didn't notice her checking me out or flirting with me because I was with you and you're the only one I ever see!"
"You were staring at her."
"Yeah because she was explaining different specials to me and asked me different questions about how I would like my meal and what I wanted with it. There's a difference between staring as I listen to someone and drooling over them, which I was not doing!"
You huffed as you folded your arms over your chest.
"You get so jealous sometimes." She grumbled. "It's so annoying."
"Yeah, so do you. What if the waitress had been checking me out all night and then I kept staring at her the whole time? You'd be jealous too, Hanni!"
She rubbed her temples with a sigh.
"It makes me feel insecure sometimes when people check you out the way they do. Because you are gorgeous and sometimes, I feel that I don't deserve you. So excuse me for feeling bad when you stare back at someone who clearly has a thing for you!"
She shook her head in response.
"I don't know why you would feel insecure when I'm in love with you!" She yelled.
You lowered your head, torn over the different emotions you felt.
"I'm sorry if you thought I was staring at her like I was checking her out or drooling over her but I wasn't."
"Whatever." You mumbled.
"We're not going to get anywhere if you keep grumbling under your breath at me. Look, whatever happened, happened. I just don't want you to get so jealous! You stormed out of that restaurant and everyone was watching you, Y/N!"
You were quiet, trying to ignore the pain in your chest that you started to feel.
"Why won't you say anything to me? If you're so insecure that you get that jealous when I didn't even flirt back with that waitress or drool over her like you're accusing me of doing, maybe I should find someone else to be with!"
Of course, those words were simply shouted in the heat of the moment.
But they were crushing nonetheless.
Almost as crushing as the sensation in your chest.
You felt as though there was an elephant sitting on your chest as the pain and discomfort escalated.
You fell to the floor as a tingling sensation went up and down your arm.
You knew what was happening; the stress and anxiety of everything was too much on your fragile and sensitive heart.
"Y/N?" Hanni spoke in concern as she watched you fall. "Oh, my god!"
At that moment, everything else disappeared.
The argument, the anxiousness, the anger, and the frustration all faded away.
All Hanni could focus on was the fact that you were on the floor and in a lot of pain.
"What's the matter, baby?" She asked.
"My heart." You gasped as the pain overwhelmed you.
She pulled her phone out of her pocket and called for help.
"Yes, hello? Please send someone fast! I think my girlfriend is having a heart attack." She spoke with a shaky voice, one full of fear and worry.
She gave them the address of your shared home as she tried to comfort you as well.
"I never told you..." You spoke through the pain. "I have heart disease."
Hanni went wide-eyed upon hearing those words leave your lips.
"Why didn't you ever tell me this?"
"I didn't want to worry you." You said as you looked into her eyes. "I'm sorry."
"Shh, don't be sorry. I don't care about anything else right now other than you getting through this." She said as she held your hand tight.
"No, I'm sorry for tonight. I was so jealous and I know I had no reason to be. I just get worried because I love you and I don't want to lose you and, sometimes, I don't feel good enough." You confessed in a rush, almost as if you feared you were running out of time.
"You are good enough, my love." She said as she gazed into your eyes, trying so hard to keep herself from crying. "We can talk about it more later when we're both calm and you're safe. Right now, I just want to get you help."
You groaned from the pain.
"It hurts." You said with a shaky breath.
"I know, sweet girl. I know it does. Just hang in there. Everything's going to be alright, help is almost here. You're going to be just fine, I promise. Just focus on me. Keep looking at me."
It was agonizing and terrifying for you both but Hanni felt a huge weight lift from her shoulders when she heard the sirens coming close.
"I love you so much." She whispered as she kissed your forehead. "Stay with me, baby. I'm right here with you."
"I love you too." You said as you tried to hang on.
And even though speaking wasn't easy because the pain was so agonizing, you knew you had to say those words back to her; just in case.
You could only hope that you'd make it to the hospital in time so you could apologize and talk to Hanni, feeling like you had more to say to her now than ever before.
About how much she truly means to you and how in love with her you are.
You could only hope that you'd get the chance to let her know that.
