Mechanical beeping was heard from the familiar room that Avery knew all so well. She was still hunched over slightly due to the stinging pain that shot up her body when she straightened her posture.
She scoffed humorously, "I look like an old grandma."
Nanami laughed beside her, letting his head fall back slightly as he took in her position. She indeed did look like an old lady, hunched over while she walked slowly down the hallway.
It was the day she finally was released from the hospital. She was thankful due to the fact she could eat regular food, she had grown a hatred towards the chocolate pudding she was forced to eat the few days she was there.
Her appearance was healing nicely. There was a mark inside her eyebrow that was going to scar, along with some scars from the stabbing wounds in her abdomen. Everything else was stitched up, the bruises fading easily.
She wasn't as horrified looking in the mirror this morning like she was two days ago, dramatically throwing a hissy fit at the deformation that was all over her body. The only huge problem was the fact her ankle was still healing.
Stepping off the stairs, she winced from the impact of her ankle of the ground. Pain burning up inside her foot. Nanami had her bags all packed, the duffle bag slung on one shoulder as he effortlessly kept Avery up with the other.
Avery felt another hand grip her wrist gently, helping her to fix her balance. She glanced up to see an unfamiliar boy holding her grip. She heard Nanami scoff next to her, obviously jealous. Avery smirked.
"Thank you," She thanked more politely than she normally would've.
The brown haired boy tucked his glasses up his nose more, smiling a toothish grin that made the girl cringe internally.
"I'm Porco," He answered.
Avery was screaming inside to run away. Her body was starting to make her uncomfortable as her pain meds wore off.
"Nice to meet you," She responded, ready to head out as Nanami just stared at the conversation in amusement. Noticing exactly what Avery was doing which pissed her off. Fucking prick.
"We know each other actually," He started, pointing a finger up as she raised a brow. "We are in economy together."
Nanami snorted as Avery's eyes widened. She plastered a fake smile, nodding her head as if she knew who he was.
"Right, of course I remember you," She said in disbelief, accusing him of not remembering her.
His face turned into a judgy one, walking away while muttering a 'weirdo'. Avery glared daggers at the boy while Nanami had to contain his laughter.
The two continued making their way outside where Gojo and Fee had the car pulled around. Nanami took Avery's hand in his, something he always did when it was just the two of them. She had to look away due to the blush rising against her cheeks.
Fee opened the passenger door, squealing as she saw Avery making her way towards the car. The two exchanged a quick hug, before the brunette helped Avery into the back of the car. Gojo was on the other side, making sure she got in easily.
"I'm not paralyzed you freaks," Avery rolled her eyes as Fee ignored her best friend's comment, trying not to laugh at the pout Avery had on.
Gojo glared at her, shutting the car door and getting in the drivers seat, Fee copying his exact movements. Nanami finished putting the stuff in the truck, shutting it with an ease before he made his way to sit next to Avery in the car.
