Chapter - 30

Author's POV

"Bhai c'mon, aap hi jeetoge aaj to."

Ridhaan cheered Krish, supported by Armaan, Vihaan, Eshaan and their fathers alongside while the ladies were cheering Nitya. The duo were now sitting on the sofa in living playing the after marriage games, the ritual of finding the ring in milk was happening at the moment.

Roohi immediately came into competitive mode and said, "Aise kaise bhai jeetenge? Nitya bhabhi hi jeetengi."

Eshaan said pointing at Roohi, "Are party badal li bhai."

Armaan to said now slightly accusing, "Bachpan se rahi hamare sath hai, kheli hamare sath, protect humne kiya, pamper humne kiya aur sath bhabhi ka."

Even Krish looked at Roohi betrayed whose eyes filled up immediately at their words, she took their teasing seriously and said now with a sad face,

"I am sorry, main hurt nhi karna..."

All were taken aback at her sudden sadness and Vihaan took her in his arms patting her back who was now sniffing,

"Are book butterfly, hum mazak kar rhe the, tu bhi na choti choti baaton pe senti ho jati hai. Meri paglu!"

Roohi pouted as Vihaan bobbed her nose softly and looked at everyone with accusing gaze who gave her sheepish smiles and Sheetal hi both Armaan and Eshaan,

"Tum dono, kya meri bacchi ko rula diya?"

"Sorry butterfly!" Armaan and Eshaan together apologised and she bobbed head cutely while Ridhaan just wiped the tear on her eyelash slowly, asking through gestures if she is okay and she softly nodded. All awed at the scene when Elara said,

"Vaise, ek idea hai."

Asha asked her, "Kya beta?"

Elara continued, "Inu bhabhi aur Armaan bhaiya ki bhi to ye rasm nhi hui thi na, in dono ki bhi karde lage haath."

All the faces lit up at her idea, and before Armaan and Inaayat could say something, Nitya jumped in between excitedly, "Yes, amazing idea! Inu, jiju, aap dono bhi sath mein rasm karlo."

Finally the couple agreed and Ashiaa with Roohi set up another bowl filled with milk, rose petals and some pebbles. The couple was sitting when Meera excitedly jumped in Krish's arms saying,

"Main bhi help karungi dadda ki."

Nitya pouted seeing her in krish's team which ashiaa noticed and joked, "Lo, you all were pulling Roohi''s leg for betrayal, century ka sabse bada betrayal to yahan hai."

A bout of laughter resonated and Nitya agreed, "Haa na Ashiaa, dekho na, dadda ke aate hi party badal."

Meera giggled and showed her tongue to her mother who fondly returned the favour same way, Krish chuckled seeing the mother daughter duo. He was pleasantly surprised at his wife's new side which he was seeing for the first time.
