Chapter - 42

Author's POV

"What are we doing here in the middle of the night when we can have some beauty sleep for fuck's sake Ridhaan?" Inaayat groaned loudly holding her head as Ridhaan called for an urgent family meeting all of a sudden. Ridhaan immediately hushed her, "Shhh bhabhi dhire, baad mein ji bhar ke gaali de dena."

Inaayat gave him a murderous look, not only her but Eshaan who was sleeping peacefully with Elara in his arms, Krish because Meera woke her from her sleep due to the meeting and was now being cranky along with Vihaan who was deadly glaring at him because he woke Ashiaa up as well, now his baby won't be able to get sleep too.

His parents were tired of their bickering as well so just sit silently waiting for Ridhaan to say what he wanted to. Ashiaa, who lazily lounged in Vihaan's arm, asked looking around, "Wait, where's Roohi?"

Everybody looked around and the girl was actually missing, Inaayat cribbed more, "I know you love her, but iska matlab ye nhi tu pure ghr ki neend kharab kare aur uski nahi Ridhaan."

Elara and Ashiaa nodded supportively and Meera said yawning, "Chachu, bad! Aapne Rooh di ko nhi uthaya, hum sabko utha diya. Inu maasi, I agree."

Inaayat made pouty lips at the girl giving her a flying kiss, and she lazily catched it. Armaan just shook his head while Ridhaan rolled his eyes, "Aap sab ka drama ho gya? To main kuch bolu...and please Vihaan bhai stop killing me with your gaze. Aapka baby ek din 11 baje ki jagah 12 baje so jayega to insomnia ka patient banke nhi paida hoga."

Ashiaa giggled at this, while Vihaan not glared both at her and Ridhaan before saying, "Ab tu bataega kyu bulaya hai hume?"

Ridhaan grinned at all of them and said, "Guess karo."

Krish groaned and said, "Eshaan tu iske daant tod rha hai ya main todu?"

He was going to get up when Nitya held him back and Inaayat joked, "Rehne do Krish, Roohi ke sath ek popla dulha accha nhi lagega. Kis munh se usse shaadi karaenge."

Inaayat's words caused everybody to burst out laughing at Ridhaan who was flushed when Elara asked, her sleep flying away, "Oh oh...kahin yahi to baat nhi, tum Roohi ko shaadi ke liye propose krne vale ho kya?"

Ridhaan's eyes widened when they all looked at them expectantly, "Nhi bhabhi ruko, aap sab to shatabdi express bne hue ho. Or mujhe yakeen nhi ho rha, bhabhiyon ko nhi pta samjh aata hai, aap sab kaise bhul sakte ho?"

He pointed at his brothers and parents who frowned and Armaan spoke for first time, "Hum kya bhul rhe hain?"

Ridhaan gave a sarcastically smile and said, "Aapki pyaari, laadli, aapke dil ke tukde aur book butterfly ka birthday jo bas parso hi hai."

"Damn!"

"Oh shit!"

"Fuck!"

Multiple sounds were heard over the room by the brothers who closed their eyes realising they forgot Roohi's birthday and even the parents were surprised, when Ridhaan pointed at them and enacted them, "Meri beti, meri doll...meri nanhi si jaan. Apni nanhi si jaan ka hi birthday bhul gye?"
