Lilly (a short story)

Prologue

Once upon a time, there lived a beautiful princess. Her name was Lily; she wore a lovely aqua gown. Lily had one younger brother and one younger sister. Her brother's name was James and her sister's name was Kate. Lily's mother and father were king and queen of Enchanted, a magical land. Lily's mothers name was Allegra and her fathers name was Seth. Lily also had a French bulldog named Jacqueline.

Chapter One

One warm September day Lily went outside to walk Jacqueline. Lily walked to a nearby Starbucks, and got some hot chocolate. As she walked around town drinking her hot chocolate she noticed her sparkling green rain boots had gotten holes in them from Lily dragging her feet. So Lily decided she would buy herself a new pair of rain boots. She walked into a boutique called Rain Boots Galore, that's where her mother had bought her sparkly green rain boots that were now all torn up. Lily looked through the store, not satisfied with what she saw until she saw these adorable pink rain boots with white lilies all over them. She ended up buying the rain boots and wearing them back home.

Chapter Two

When Lily got home she rushed into her mothers room to show her new rain boots that she had gotten. Her mother loved them and asked Lily to see if they had any in her size the next day. As usual Lily walked Jacqueline to Starbucks, then as her mother requested Lily walked into Rain Boots Galore to see if they had the pink rain boots covered in white lilies in size eight and a half. They did have so she bought her mother a pair. While Lily was walking she noticed the white lilies on her rain boots started to sparkle and shine. "I wonder what's happening?" whispered Lily.

Chapter Three

Once Lily saw her boots sparkle she knew they were magical, because she had once read a book about magical things, one thing she read was that when things sparkle there most likely to be magic. Lily was super excited that she now had magical powers. Lily pondered would her mother's boots sparkle, glow and shine. Lily opened the pink canvas bag that she got a Rain Boots Galore, but her mothers rain boots didn't shine. Lily wondered why her rain boots shine but her mothers didn't even though they were the same pair. Then she got it since her name is Lily and there were lilies on her boots it must give her magical powers.

Chapter Four

One month later, Lily was still wearing her rain boots, spreading happiness with her magical powers. Lily loved making people happy. In November, Lily's mother got terribly ill and could not take care of Enchanted at the time, and it would take at least six months for to get better, so Lily had to take over since she was the oldest. Plus, she was very mature and responsible. Lily became the temporary Queen she liked it a lot. Everything was going well until she was walking around town and her pink rain boots covered in white lilies got holes in them. "OH NO!" Lily shouted.

Chapter Five

Since Lily's boots got holes in them her magic didn't work anymore. So Lily was walking around town and decided to stop in Rain Boots Galore to see if they had another pair of pink rain boots with white lilies. Lily looked around but she couldn't find the pink rain boots with the white lilies on them so she just bought pink rain boots. Then, she went next door to another boutique called Stickers Galore and bought little white lily stickers and stuck them on her new pink rain boots. She tried to spread happy magic, but that didn't work instead of good magic it was bad magic. The bad magic made Lily's Mother's sickness get worse, and now it was going to take another six months for her to recover.

Chapter Six

Lily had decided she was going on an adventure to Melody a city thirty miles away, so Lily could get her mother's medicine. Lily would have to ride her aqua bicycle. While Lily was packing an aqua backpack she thought I couldn't wear this beautiful gown so she wore skinny jeans, a white t-shirt with a pink bicycle on it, a pink sweatshirt, and the pink rain boots without the white lily stickers. Lily put on her backpack and grabbed Jacqueline and started biking, it took her a day and a half to get to Melody. Once lily got to Melody she got medicine for her mother. When Lily got back to Enchanted she gave her Mother the medicine. Now Lily's Mother is all better.

Chapter Seven

Now that everything was back to normal, Lily went on her normal walk into town with Jacqueline. Lily really wanted a new pair of rain boots. Since Lily was in town she went into Rain Boots Galore and bought white rain boots with little black cameras on them. Then she went two doors down to Cameras Galore and bought a camera that looked like the one on her rain boots.
