Its been a year since I became the major for N.E.S.T. I've gotten to now Epps better over the year. I've also gotten to know Lennox and the Autobots really well. Me, Lennox and Epps have been hanging around each other so much in our spare time and when we are doing work, that we had become known as a trio, more specifically the "Unstoppable" Trio. Me and Lennox have gotten closer than I thought we would in the past year. Me and Lennox did everything together. Everyone called us inseparable. I honestly don't blame them. The only time me and Lennox were apart was at night when we were asleep. I was with Epps and Lennox as we were going over a plan for the next decepticon hit, when my phone rings. I pull it out of my pocket and see it's my parents calling.
"I'll be right back." I tell the two.
I kissed Lennox on the cheek. Ever since I did it for the first time a year ago, I've done it every so often. I go to walk away and answer the call when Lennox lightly grabbed my wrist.
"Please stay. We don't mind." Lennox spoke gently.
"Alright." I smiled and nodded.
I answered the call as I watched what Epps and Lennox were doing.
"Hi dad." I spoke into the phone.
"Hi sweetheart. How's our Major?" My dad asked.
"She's doing just fine. How are you and mama doing?" I asked.
Lennox Glanced at me as I spoke. I smiled at him when I saw him look at me.
"We are good. When are you coming home?" My mother asked.
"Hi mama. I'll be home soon. I take the flight home tomorrow." I smiled.
Lennox and Epps instantly stopped what they were doing and looked at me when I said that I was leaving to go home tomorrow.
"We can't wait." My mother said, excitement laced in her voice.
"I can't wait either mama." I said as I smiled.
"Alright, kiddo. We should go. I'm taking your mother out on a date. See you tomorrow." My dad said, now back on the phone.
"Ok. I should go to. Happy anniversary and I will see you guys tomorrow. Bye dad." I said and hung up.
I slipped my phone back into my pocket.
"You didn't tell us you were leaving." Epps said.
"I'm not leaving forever." I smiled lightly.
"But still. You didn't tell us." Epps complained like a child.
"I'm sorry. But I won't be gone for long. It's only a week." I said.
"A week too long." Lennox mumbled.
"What was that?" I turned to Lennox.
"Nothing." Lennox said.
Epps walked over to me and placed a hand on my shoulder.
"He's going to miss you, you know." Epps whispered.
"I know." I whispered back.
I glanced at Lennox and smiled softly.
"I'll miss him too." I added.
"I think he likes you." Epps smiled as he whispered.
"I think he's just being friendly. Come on, let's get back to work." I said.
For the rest of the day, we stood or sat at the table working on the plan. Around 11:30, I had fallen asleep on the papers in front of me.
Lennox's POV
"Its almost midnight. We should get to bed." Epps yawned.
"I agree." I replied.
Me and Epps turned to Y/N when she didn't respond. She had fallen asleep on the papers she was working on.
"What should we do?" Epps asked.
I just stared at her with gentle eyes and a soft smile grew on my lips.
"Lennox..?" Epps poked my shoulder.
"Yeah?" I looked at Epps.
"What should we do about her?" Epps asked again.
"We could bring her to her room." I suggested.
"Alright." Epps replied.
I walked towards her and carefully picked her up bridal style. I walked to her room with Epps on my tail.
"Do you like her?" Epps asked.
"I'm sorry?" I wanted to make sure I heard him right.
"Do you like her?" Epps asked again.
"Yeah. She's an amazing friend." I said.
"I mean as more then a friend." Epps explained as he opened the door to her room.
"I-..." I was quiet for a minute as I laid her in her bed.
"She's really Pretty and has such a kind heart." I said as we walked towards the door.
"Do you find her cute?" Epps asked as we walked out.
"why?" My voice now laced with curiosity.
"Just from the way you look at her, how you talk to her, how calm you are with her, how-" Epps listed off things he noticed about me when I'm with Y/N.
"I get it. Your observant." I cut Epps off as we walked down the hall.
"Thank you. But seriously. Do you think she's cute?" Epps asked.
"Yeah. But I know that she will never feel the same." I gave a half smile as we got to my door.
"You will never know unless you tell her." Epps said as he continued to walk to his room.
I smiled slightly at what he said as I got changed and went to bed.
Y/Ns POV
I woke up the next morning in my bed and still in my uniform.
'That's weird. I don't remember coming into my room last night.' I thought as I got up and got changed into a clean uniform.
I pulled my duffle bag out from under my bed and opened it up. I then left my room and went to the small kitchen that we have. I grabbed a mug and filled it with coffee.
"Good morning, Lennox." I mumbled when I saw him leaning against one of the counters.
I poured creamer into my coffee then stirred it a little.
"You leave today?" Lennox asked as he sipped his coffee.
"I am. but you know I'm always a phone call away. whether its for work or you just want to hear my voice, give me a call." I said, sipping my own coffee.
"Need help packing?" Lennox put his empty mug in the sink.
"Maybe, but I'm not packing for a while yet." I said, taking another, larger sip of my coffee.
I pulled the cup away from my lips quickly as the hot coffee burned my tongue.
"Be careful." Lennox said, grabbing the coffee from my hands.
"I'm fine. Its just my tongue." I said as I stuck out my tongue and lightly brushed my finger over where I burned it.
"You just burned your tongue." Lennox said as he stepped closer and looked at my tongue.
"Like I said, I'm fine." I said after my tongue was back in my mouth.
