Be My Liar

I know that I don't have the best voice
You could take it or leave it
But we always have a choice
Don't let me dim when I am lit

So don't let me see the truth
there's a line just waiting for you
but my crowd will only stay for my youth
I hope that you won't leave me too

I would bend at your feet
or give you space if you say
so give me all your lies so sweet
Because at your side I'd stay

Just as sure as tears will flow
your love is just a fake
but do not let me know
I ask only that you be my liar.

Dim goes our fire
you've lost your desire
and still you'd be my liar.

Wandering eyes have no disguise
I forget what hurts too much
And live the best under rainy skies
Yet don't fake the need to have your touch

Fragile is my heart you see
But your strength is there to hold me up
There is no hiding my jealousy
So I go to down another cup

You had to see all the worst parts of me
How can it be that you'd still lie for me?
