I silently sit on the edge of the gazebo. My eyes travel to the people around me. Smiling, laughing, drinking and dancing. All not having a care in this world.
Caroline had initially brought me here and told me not to get lost. But the minute we stepped in, I lost her in the crowd. I assume it's been nearly an hour of swinging my feet and watching everyone else have a good time but me.
I was seriously considering going home, until I saw a familiar face.
Stefan.
I hop off the gazebo and walk up to him. "Hey Stefan." I look at him. He looks very concentrated.
His head turns to me quickly and he flashes a small smile. "Angelina,"he says. I wave my hands in a ta-da motion. "The one and only."
Stefan let out a small laugh.
He looked around me. "You're alone?" He asked.
I shrugged. "What else is new?" I said. Stefan furrowed his brows.
"Where's your sister? Friends?" He asked.
"Sister? Probably trying to keep a fifty-meter distance between her and I. Friends? I don't really have any. Just Caroline and Bonnie." I look at him. "Oh. I just got back from boarding school. That's why." I explained. Stefan opens his mouth to speak.
"Why were you-"
"There you are! You made it!" Caroline pops out of nowhere. Stefan turns to her as she begins rambling on. I chuckle at her. I take that as my cue and go over to the kegs.
I've actually never had alcohol before. Being in a private boarding school was much stricter than regular schools. We were always kept away from 'harmful' stuff. I have seen movies though. It seems like a good time to have one.
I reach for the dispenser as another hand does. I hear someone gasp. I look up to see Bonnie looking at me weirdly.
"Hey Bonnie. Um, are you okay?" I ask. I retract my hand rather quickly. "That was weird." She mutters to herself. I scrunch my face. "I was just trying to get a drink."
"No not that. When I touched you -- I saw a wolf.. and glowing eyes and teeth or something."
I stare at her strangely before backing away. "Nice to see you too, Bon." I say before quickly turning and walking away. I sometimes forget how weird this town is. Is Bonnie getting affected by its weirdness too?
As I turn I bump into someone. My body immediately tenses as I see the cold eyes looking at me. "Jeremy," I say.
He frowns at me, stumbling a little. I scowl lightly. "Are you drunk?"
Jeremy bumps his shoulder past mine. "Why do you care?" He says, walking into the woods.
"Jeremy," I call as I follow him. He keeps walking, even speeding up. "Jer, where are you going?" I say as I try to quickly jump over all the branches and roots to catch up to him.
"Ang, I really--Woah!" Jeremy trips. I run over to him only to see him kneeling in front of a girl with blood all over her neck. I look at her face. It was the girl that was with Jeremy that day. I look closer at her face and frown to realise it's Vicki... Matt's sister.
"Oh my god, it's Vicki!" He glances at me with a panicked face. My eyes widen and I gasp at all the blood around her. There's so much. Jeremy grabs her face, only for her to gasp and snap up.
"Pick her up!" I ordered Jeremy. He hoists her up and we quickly make our way back to the party. "Somebody help!" I yell.
The music stops and everyone stares at us.
