I walked into school the next day. Everything felt more gloomy than usual since I found out Vicki was a vampire. To be honest, I did feel quite intimidated by the fact that Damon turned her into a vampire. I just hope he doesn't hurt anyone else.

I remember Caroline asking me if we could talk, but she never replied to my message. I frowned as I wondered if she was okay since she and Damon broke up.

Just as I thought of her, I saw her turn around the corner, walking towards me.

"Caroline!" I said, running over to her.

She smiled at me. "Hey, what's the problem?" she asked.

I shook my head. "I need to ask you something." I said.

Caroline gives me an apologetic look. "Sorry Ang. Gotta run to the fashion club. I'm having my dress custom made and I need to make sure everything is perfect for the dance tonight." She pauses. "Are the decorations done and up?" She narrows her eyes.

I press my lips into a thin line. "Yes, they are," I say. Caroline nods and gives me a quick hug before going her way.

Soon, night fell. The party has probably just started but I really can't be bothered to go. I sighed, walking downstairs.

I entered the kitchen and began pouring some cereal into a bowl. Jeremy then walked in and started to get a drink of water. I glance over at him, his phone between his ear and shoulder.

"You gotta call me Vic. I don't get it. What's going on with you? Just call me, please." He put his phone in his pocket and stood next to me, drinking his water.

My body tenses.

Jeremy doesn't know that Vicki is a vampire. And also the fact that she hasn't completed her transition yet, so she could die. Well, that is what Stefan said. But that was 2 days ago so she's definitely getting to that stage.

I couldn't exactly tell him, 'Hey, the girl you're in love with is a vampire. Might wanna stay away from her.' And he and I have finally come to good terms with each other. I don't want to ruin it.

"Hey, is everything okay with Vicki?" I innocently asked him.

"I don't know. She hasn't talked to me since they found her. It's like she's avoiding me. Plus with Elena breathing down my back--" He sighed, running a hand through his hair.

I nodded. "You know, if you'd like to get your mind off things we could go to the Halloween party at school tonight? I wasn't actually gonna go, but now I have a reason to. We can throw things at everyone in costumes." I joked.

He chuckles. "Sure, sounds good." He walks up to his room.

An hour has passed and I can't comprehend what is happening. Now, I'm standing with Caroline and Bonnie. They are both dressed like stereotypical witches while I'm dressed as an angel, for obvious reasons.

Caroline was rambling in my ear about something when Tyler Lockwood walked over to us, three drinks in his hands.

"Ciders for the ladies? It's a Lockwood special." He winked at me. He's dressed as a gladiator with no shirt, showing his very visible abs. I honestly try not to look, as I'm not impressed with how obvious his flirting is.

I actually care about personality over attractiveness. Wait. No. Looks matter the most, actually. But I'm not looking for a boyfriend right now, or a lazy hookup.

I grimaced, taking the drink and taking a few sips.

Bonnie rejects her drink and gives it to Caroline. "Lightweight. I am going to drink until someone is hot enough to make out with." Caroline cheered, using her Caroline Forbes logic.
