It's the next morning. I take a shower and put on the cheer costume I'm supposed to wear all day. I smile at myself in the mirror. Well, at least I look hot.
I was ready to head to school with Caroline, but somehow I found myself standing outside Elena's door before I left. I hesitated before knocking on her door.
The door opens revealing Elena, only in a towel after coming out of the shower. She looks annoyed and shakes her head, raising her eyebrows. "What?" she snaps.
I cleared my throat. "I was wondering if we could talk."
She looks even more annoyed. "About?"
I scoff. Is she serious? "Well how about the cold shoulder? The seven years I was gone? All of your snappy comments-"
She raises her hand. "Angelina, can you just stop? There's nothing to talk about. Seriously." She rolls her eyes and slams the door in my face.
I close my eyes and sigh before leaving.

The bonfire at school was a little kick off to football's first game of the season. From what I heard, we sucked. Big time.
I half expected the bonfire to be small, even a little quiet. But when I got there, I was very wrong. People were drinking, some even smoking and I even saw people walking into the bathrooms together. Yuck! But aside from all that, many were just yelling and cheering.
I stood next to Caroline, clapping my hands as enthusiastically as she was. She's really helped me come out of my shell, so I'm so thankful. We were listening to Tanner's speech about the Timber-wolves, which I wasn't even aware was our mascot until now.
However, the cheering didn't last for long as Caroline and I heard yelling. I glided through the crowd with ease.
I gasp when I see Tyler slamming Jeremy onto the ground. I run towards them. "Jeremy!" I call as I step out of the crowd.
Tyler then begins punching Jeremy repeatedly. "Hey!" I yell. Tyler looks at me, and out of anger I kick him in the balls, then in the face.
Tyler stands up immediately, and moves to swing at my face. Before his fist nearly collided with my face, a hand reached out, catching his. How did he catch Tyler's hand so easily? Do vampires have inhuman strength?
I see Stefan next to me. "Enough." He orders. Tyler went to swing at Stefan's stomach. When he did, Stefan didn't even budge or flinch.
It appeared to me that Stefan and Damon were the same... thing. My heart races at the thought that I've been talking to vampires.
I glance behind Tyler to see Jeremy grabbing a broken beer bottle. "Jeremy no!" Elena yells. Stefan pushes Tyler to the side and sticks his hand in front of me protectively. I heard the sound of flesh being cut as I saw Stefan's hand meet the bottle.
My eyes go wide. I glance over at Jeremy who drops the bottle in shock. Elena walks over to him, scrutinizing him. I go over to Stefan. "Are you alright?" I asked in concern.
But, I was pushed aside as Elena took my place next to Stefan. She quickly took his hand in worry, trying to force his hand open. I see Stefan trying to pull his hand out of hers but she opens his hand, revealing just blood.
What the hell? They can heal themselves? I thought as I inspected his hand. I look up at Stefan, but he's just looking at the ground.
After everyone scattered away to the football field, I was mildly scolded by Caroline for accidentally leaving my poms in her car. She gave me her keys and ordered me to go to her car and retrieve them.
