I would like to take time to appreciate this accomplishment, anyone who knows me, also would know that this book was written as a coping mechanism for my stupidity in accidentally deleting my book "One Step Closer". And the entire time I kept thinking that this book would never live up to that potential, and you know what? That is true. This book isn't "One Step Closer" and I'm proud that I finished it the way I wanted to!
This book was supposed to be something completely different, initially, it was supposed to be about how these two characters fall in love in unlikely circumstances and how this new love helps the main character move on from her past, and yeah, I don't know what happened it just ended up changing halfway through and I have never written a sad ending before, so I just continued the journey! Although this is nothing that I expected, I am still in such awe that I completed this book despite constantly thinking about OSC. And honestly, I wouldn't want this book to be any other way.
I would also like to thank my friend, Saiesha Naidoo for encouraging me to finish this book who's been my number one supporter since day one and who's also always so thrilled to hear and read my new ideas. I'll write you that bl/gl one day!
Aidan Northcote for helping me with the historical aspect of the book and for helping me place down the timeline of the book. And, for also helping me choose the names!
Yun Choi for asking me about how is writing going even though he always seemed confused and lost. :D
I would like to thank myself for never giving up.
Ethan Van Rensburg who unknowingly encouraged me to keep writing even when I didn't want to.
Gideon Hanekam for allowing me to rant my ideas to him.
Ulungile Dingiswayo. Nikitha Dlabane. Amohelang Setloboko. For all pushing me on the sidelines to do my best.
Caitlyn. VS, and Jade Logan Parker for always encouraging me to do what makes me happy and for encouraging me to share my ideas no matter how silly they made me feel.
My family for really being so supportive in every way possible.
And lastly, Grammarly, my editor!
Thank you to everyone who read the book and enjoyed it, recommended it, or just simply read it just because. That little support means everything.
