The goblin lifted her hands up to look at the two sets of rings that were now wrapped around her fingers. They felt awkward in her hands, but at the same time she could feel that was the way they were supposed to be.

[ The relic "Brass Knuckles" has equipped to you. ]

[ Your strike ability will now be tested. ]

While the goblin read the notification, she continued to fiddle with the brass knuckles in her hands. At the same time, the rest of the relics caught Oto's eye. Their glow slowly faded and shrank down to tiny dots of light. Then they split in two.

"Look." Oto drew the goblin's attention when the lights started to move through the fog. Numerous stone figures emerged from the mist with the lights glowing in place of their eyes. Each carried a melee weapon and shield. However, the feature the goblin was focussed on was the one they all shared. their pointed ears.

"What are they doing here?" The goblin prepared herself.

"No, those aren't the elves, those are the relics. This how they're going to test you."

The goblin was ready for a fight, but her fists were starting to tremble. Even if they were relics, their resemblance to the elves wasn't something she could overlook. From her perspective, a horde of elves was staring her down with their glowing eyes as they closed in around her.

The goblin had fought back against the elves in the mines, but she'd only ever seen two to four of them together at a time. Could she even fight this many at once? She'd barely managed to hurt only one and even then she was still beaten within an inch of her life. If Oto hadn't summoned her would she have-

No! She wouldn't allow herself to give in to those thoughts.

"HYAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!" The goblin roared as she leapt to the closest elf in sight and landed a punched.

Crack!

Cracks spread from the goblin's impact on the elf's stomach. The attack had also caught the elf off guard and they now had to rebalance themself. Acting quickly, she took advantage of the elf's disorientation to land two more blows.

Crack! Crack!

On the second strike, however, the elf broke in half and crumbled to the ground in pieces. The glow in their eyes disappeared as the last piece fell into place.
