Chapter 8: Wedding Plan

Eric and Lucy packed their things and were going to stay at Daniel's place until they could find a place of their own. They left without saying goodbye to their parents. Eric was disappointed that his parents were not supportive and he wished they could be happy for him.

Months later, King Charles finally managed to locate Princess Helen's address.

He went to visit her, and upon seeing her father, Princess Helen was surprised and asked, "What are you doing here? Did Loki tell you I am not coming back?"

King Charles replied, "I am only here to see if you are okay."

Princess Helen responded, "I am doing okay. I am happy."

King Charles then said, "I want to give you a wedding."

But Princess Helen was hesitant, saying "You do not have to do this. I thought you were angry with me."

"No, I am not angry with you. Although I was angry with you at first, I want you to be happy. If this man brings you happiness, then you have my blessing," said King Charles.

"Thank you, dad!" replied Princess Helen with joy.

Later, Princess Helen went to inform Eric that her father had given his blessing to their marriage. However, Lucy expressed her doubts about King Charles and warned Eric to be careful.

"I don't trust King Charles. I think he's up to something," she said.

Eric replied angrily, "I hope not!"

Prince Nicholas was furious to learn that Princess Helen will be marrying someone else. He was unable to believe that King Charles would allow Princess Helen to wed another person after promising Prince Nicholas that he could marry her. As a result, Prince Nicholas has decided to make plans to speak with King Charles and find out more about the situation.

Patrick visited George and expressed his concern about Eric marrying Princess Helen and the potential threat from Loki. George reassured Patrick that he would protect Eric from any harm caused by Loki.

Eric and Princess Helen were searching for a new home when they came across a beautiful, spacious house. They both loved it and Eric called the owner to express his interest in purchasing it. The owner was pleased to hear this. However, after ending the call, Eric's thoughts turned to the mysterious death of his uncle at the hands of Loki. Despite his curiosity, Eric's mother refused to share any details about their family's past. Sensing that something was troubling Eric, Princess Helen asked him what was on his mind.

Eric confided in her, saying "I can't stop thinking about why Loki killed my uncle. My mom won't tell me anything about it."

Prince Nicholas paid a visit to King Charles and expressed his displeasure about the King's daughter, Princess Helen, marrying someone else. Prince Nicholas reminded King Charles that he had promised him the hand of Princess Helen in marriage. King Charles assured Prince Nicholas that he would keep his promise but first, he needed to get rid of the man Princess Helen wanted to marry. Prince Nicholas suggested that they have the man arrested on false charges of attempted murder against King Charles himself. King Charles found this plan amusing as he believed his daughter would believe his word over the man's.
