Chapter 10: A New Life

Princess Helen returned to her apartment and opened the gift left by Eric, which turned out to be a recorder. Curious, she played it back and heard her own father offering money to Eric in exchange for leaving her. However, Eric refused to take the money, and her father falsely accused him and Daniel of attempting to kill him. Hearing this, Princess Helen became angry with her father for his evil deeds. She decided to pack her bags and go look for Eric to ask for his forgiveness.

King Charles visited Princess Helen, who appeared upset. He expressed relief that she had recognized the true nature of a man who was only interested in her wealth and was evil. However, Princess Helen disagreed and defended Eric, stating that he was a good man. She regretted doubting him and accused King Charles of lying about Eric and Daniel trying to harm him. She also declared that she would not marry Prince Nicholas and instead, seek Eric's forgiveness. King Charles threatened to disown her if she went looking for Eric.

Princess Helen expressed her disapproval and disappointment, disowning King Charles and rejecting his money and crown. This angered the king, who stormed off. Afterwards, Princess Helen went to the police station and handed over the recording.

Several months later, Eric, along with his friends Daniel, Lucy, and George, move to New York. Ever since Eric and Lucy left their house, Eric has not had any communication with his parents. Meanwhile, Daniel's sister Bobby and her boyfriend Steve also join them in New York. Eric learned that he and Daniel were absolved of any wrongdoing when a news reporter revealed that Princess Helen had disclosed to the police that her father had lied about Eric and Daniel attempting to kill him. The revelation led to many people losing respect for King Charles.

Eric came across a package that was mailed to him a year ago. Excited to see what's inside, he opened the package and found a lamp. There was a note attached to the lamp, which instructed Eric to rub it. He did as instructed, and a lot of smoke came out of the lamp. Once the smoke cleared, Eric saw a beautiful woman standing in front of him.

"Paul!" the woman exclaimed happily.

"I'm sorry, but I'm not Paul. My name is Eric Randall," Eric replied.

"Excuse me, are you Princess Jenny?" Eric inquires.

"Yes, I am. Is Prince George your father?" Princess Jenny responds.

"Yes, he is, but I only found out a few months ago. I used to believe my aunt and uncle were my parents," Eric explains.

Years later, Eric was able to earn his law degree and he now works as a criminal lawyer. Lucy was also able to achieve her dream of owning her own beauty shop. Eric recently heard that King Charles had disowned Princess Helen and that his younger daughter is going to marry Prince Nicholas. Eric hopes that Princess Helen is doing well. Additionally, it seems that Daniel and Princess Jenny have been spending a lot of time together.
