Chapter 6: A New Identity

Princess Helen was in a difficult situation as she had never worked before and didn't know how to make a living on her own. She was quite worried about it but remained optimistic and determined to figure something out. Luckily, she had enough money to rent an apartment for a couple of months and found a nice one with the help of a friendly landlady who didn't ask too many questions. After settling into her new place, Princess Helen realized that finding a job was her top priority. She decided to start looking for a job the next day.

The following day, Princess Helen began searching for a job. She came across a repair shop that was in need of a secretary to handle phone calls. Knowing she could manage that job, she went to the shop. As she entered, she was greeted by a man named Daniel Jones, who introduced himself as the owner. "Hello, may I assist you with something?" Daniel asked.

"Yes, my name is Jane Smith, and I noticed that you're hiring for a secretary position," replied Princess Helen.

"Indeed we are. Congratulations, you're hired," responded Daniel.

Princess Helen was thrilled to have landed the job, and she started working right away. She made many new friends at the shop.

The next day, Eric went to work at Daniel's repair shop. While getting some coffee at the office, he caught sight of the new secretary and was struck by how exquisite she looked. Curious, he approached Daniel and asked if she was the new secretary. Daniel confirmed that she was, and when Eric inquired if she was married, Daniel replied that he hadn't seen a wedding band on her finger. Eric went back to work, having never seen the woman before, and started to wonder if she was new in town.

Jane had been working for Daniel for a month when Eric decided to ask her out. However, since Jane was busy with paperwork, Eric didn't want to bother her at work. He planned to ask her out after work. Eric was washing a car when he lost track of time.

When he realized that Jane was leaving, he hurried to catch up with her and asked, "Hello, Jane. Would you like to have dinner with me, if you're not busy?"

Princess Helen replied happily, "I would love to!"

But she was afraid because she had not been entirely truthful about herself.

Princess Helen is getting ready for her date with Eric. Eric arrives to pick her up and they head to a fancy restaurant. Princess Helen enjoys the food and they decide to go to the movies after finishing their meal. This is Princess Helen's first time going to a public movie theater as her father has a private theater in their castle. She is having a great time on her date and cherishes her newfound freedom. Later on, Eric takes Princess Helen back to her apartment where they share a romantic kiss. Princess Helen is in love with Eric and prepares to go to bed with happy thoughts in her mind.

Eric and Princess Helen have been in a relationship for a month. Eric is aware that it has not been a long time, but he has already decided to propose to her. Princess Helen has not revealed her true identity as a princess to Eric. She is still known to him as Jane Smith. Eric invites Princess Helen over to his house for dinner to meet his parents and sister. Eric's mother is cooking a big dinner and Lucy is helping her.

Eric brings Princess Helen to the house and introduces her as Jane Smith to his parents and sister by saying, "Hello, everyone, this is Jane Smith."

After finishing their meal, Eric notices that his family members seem to have a liking for Princess Helen. Emboldened by this positive reception, he decides to take the next step and propose to her. Eric brings out the ring and expresses his love for her, despite their relatively short time together. He asks her to marry him and Princess Helen agrees, reciprocating her love. Eric then slides the ring onto her finger, sealing their engagement.
