Chapter 12: Falling in Love

Eric was watching the news when he heard that Loki had become the king of England and had married Princess Natalie. He wondered if Princess Helen knew about her sister's marriage to Loki. While Eric was getting coffee, he heard someone calling his name. He looked up and saw that it was Princess Helen. "What are you doing here?" Eric asked her.

"I live here. I'm working as a paralegal. I know you're still upset with me. I hope one day you'll be able to forgive me," Princess Helen replied.

"I love you, and I would never do anything to harm you or your family. I know it's difficult for you to trust me when your father's word seems more believable, but we have to trust each other if we want to move forward," Eric said reassuringly.

"I do trust you, but my father has passed away, and now Loki has taken his place," Princess Helen replied with sadness in her voice.

"I'm sorry to hear that. I heard the news as well," Eric replied.

"I don't understand why Prince Nicholas isn't doing anything about this. I thought Natalie was going to marry him, not Loki. My father would never have allowed Natalie to marry Loki," Princess Helen questioned with confusion.

"I believe that Princess Natalie married Loki under the impression that he was Prince Nicholas. However, Loki committed a murder, which resulted in Prince Nicholas being imprisoned for the past three years. Loki has been impersonating Prince Nicholas for quite some time," Eric explained to Princess Helen.

"We must take action to free Prince Nicholas from prison!" Princess Helen replied, her anger evident.

"Do not worry, Princess Helen. I will make sure that he is released," Eric assured her.

Princess Helen and Eric visited the prosecutor, Ben Turner, who was handling the case of Donald Hill's murder. Eric introduced himself and Princess Helen, who is a friend of the accused, Prince Nicholas. They explained that Prince Nicholas was innocent and that Loki was the real culprit who had been impersonating the prince. Princess Helen assured Ben that Prince Nicholas would never harm anyone.

Ben replied, "I believe you. I will drop all charges against Prince Nicholas. However, I cannot charge Loki with murder since I have no proof that he committed the crime."

Prince Nicholas was relieved to be out of prison, but disappointed that Loki was going to escape punishment for his crime. He couldn't help but wish for Loki to face justice.

The following day, Princess Helen, Eric, and Prince Nicholas traveled to England. Prince Nicholas visited his father, King Sean, who was overjoyed to see him. However, King Sean was also furious and demanded answers. He wanted to know why his son had run away and why he had not married Princess Natalie as he was supposed to.

Prince Nicholas shared that he had been wrongly imprisoned for three years for a murder that Loki had committed. While he was in prison, Loki had taken on his identity and had been living as him. Prince Nicholas also suspected that Princess Natalie had been deceived and had believed that she was marrying him. King Sean was outraged by this news and declared that they would go to Princess Natalie's castle to uncover the truth.
