Chapter 11: The Surprise Client

Eric received his initial case and was still in search of Princess Helen when he went to meet his new client. To his surprise, he found that his client was Prince Nicholas, whom he had believed to be in England preparing for his wedding. Nicholas revealed that the prince seen in England was an imposter and that he had been imprisoned for three years for a murder he claimed he did not commit. The police accused him of killing a homeless man named Donald Hill and believed him to be mentally unstable.

Eric asked Prince Nicholas to explain what had occurred. Prince Nicholas recounted being in New York for a business trip when he was robbed and assaulted. Lacking identification, he sought help and stumbled upon the body of Donald Hill. Despite his innocence, someone reported hearing a fight between him and Donald, leading to his immediate arrest. Angrily, Prince Nicholas asserted his innocence, to which Eric expressed his belief in him and suggested that Loki was the true culprit, impersonating Prince Nicholas.

Eric was in a state of confusion as he didn't know what to do. He was aware that King Charles would never trust him regarding the impersonation of Prince Nicholas by Loki. Eric also knew that the King had disowned Princess Helen, so she wouldn't be able to help him either. Despite these challenges, Eric was determined to inform Princess Helen about the situation, but first, he needed to locate her.

The following day, Princess Natalie, the daughter of King Charles, was preparing to marry Prince Nicholas. Despite her long-standing affection for him, Prince Nicholas had always been in love with Princess Helen. Princess Natalie harbored jealousy towards Princess Helen, who had always been their father's preferred daughter. Princess Natalie felt pleased when their father disowned Princess Helen, as she was his favorite. Although aware of Prince Nicholas' continued love for Princess Helen, Princess Natalie hoped that he would eventually come to love her.

The wedding was small with very few guests in attendance. Many people were upset with King Charles for falsely accusing Eric and Daniel of a crime they did not commit. They were also displeased with him for disinheriting Princess Helen. Princess Helen had the love and support of many people who believed that she would make an excellent queen. On the other hand, people did not have a favorable opinion of Princess Natalie, as many considered her a spoiled brat.

After their wedding, Princess Natalie and Prince Nicholas traveled to Paris for their honeymoon. Princess Natalie was eager to start a family and was concerned about her father's abrupt departure from the wedding without saying goodbye. Later, as they were intimate, Prince Nicholas unexpectedly revealed himself to be Loki. Despite her attempts to scream and escape, Loki silenced and captured Princess Natalie.

"What will become of Prince Nicholas?" Princess Natalie demands furiously. "He has been imprisoned for a crime that I committed. I also murdered your father. I did not sign the marriage license using Prince Nicholas' name, but instead used my own," Loki replied. Loki took advantage of Princess Natalie.
