04 : FACE-OFF

The darkness consumed everything. Only Odette's figure was illuminated, desperately walking around to try and find someone, anyone. Voices in her ears, Louis and Jakob reminding her of the vampire rules repeatedly. "Don't reveal your abilities, don't let your guard down, be careful where you go."

Their voices echoing in her hears, her head starting to hurt. Her hunger hurt her, she was whining and aching — she could barely walk. She was limping, trying to find anyone, anything to stop her hunger.

The curly haired boy she had met previously stood there, bent over picking flowers. Luke quickly turned around and smiled at odette, "hi dear girl, you hungry?" He asked, moving the collar of his shirt so she can see the fresh bruise that she had left last time.

The vampire bit her lip as she walked up to him, quickly placing her teeth into his neck and sucking for her life. It's a kill or be killed world, she thought, she's not a bad person! A sigh left her lips as she moved off of him, turning him to see his face. His eyes were wide and his face looked pale, he immediately opened his mouth to say something but stopped as his eyes grew in fear.

Odette's face was covered in blood, her whole face a crimson red. His fearful look didn't stop her from putting her teeth into his cheek, taking a bite before tearing the flesh off, biting it desperately. Her bites were continuous, working through his face while ignoring his pained cries.

Soon after, he dropped down, hands to his face before his body lay still on the ground. The darkness transformed into the forest where she had met him, his scent fading away.

Her eyes opened as the darkness fully disappeared and she was in her bed at the older vampire's house. She hadn't left, it was all just a dream — a terrible dream. "I would never do anything like that," Odette mumbled before thinking for a minute, remembering the deer she had encountered a week ago now. She wouldn't do that to a human atleast.
