Odette couldn't deny that she felt betrayed. She knows that she was frustrated with Luke acting crazy and how her new dads were now arguing constantly, but does that mean that she wants to leave him forever?

She waited for ten minutes at their spot before realizing that he wasn't coming. "Where is he?" She mumbled. Was he giving up on her just like that? She walked around the camp until she found a small cabin, it was broken and abandoned but she entered anyways. The cabin was dark and terrifying, she had to keep reminding herself that she was the toughest thing in those woods. "Luke?" she called, only to feel a touch on her shoulder.

He gave a tiny smile, his sword out of the scabbard, "Listen, I was going to go to our place, I thought you were mad at me, baby. Listen," he sat down, bringing her oh his lap, "I've lived at Half-Blood Hill year-round since I was fourteen. I came with Annabeth and Thalia— Annabeths the one that you saw... taking about the picnic. When we came to camp, we were attacked and long story short, Thalia sacrificed herself for us. I trained after that, I trained, and trained, and trained. I never got to be a normal teenager, out there in the real world. Then they threw me one quest, and when I came back, it was like, 'Have a nice life.'" His fists crumpled into fists, his hand turning red around his sword.

"You make it sound like you're leaving me," she laughed ever so slightly, "somethings been strange with you lately, Luke."

"I brought you down here to say good-bye," a frown rested on his face as he rubbed the girls back, his head on her neck. "Listen, my precious little fawn, it doesn't have to be goodbye. I want you to come with me."

"What do mean?"

He stood calmly, now carrying Odette — who slightly panicked. "I saw a lot out there in the world. Did you notice the all the heroics-being pawns of the gods. They should've been overthrown thousands of years ago, but they've hung on, thanks to us half-bloods."

Odette was confused, she has never seen a monster, never communicated with a God, she didn't know she what she was until a month ago!

"Aren't those your parents?" She asked, her arms hanging around him for deer life as he walked.

He laughed, "That's supposed to make me love them? The only way to stop them is to burn it to the ground, start over with something more honest." Odette's eyes opened, she started pushing him, hoping for an escape, but for some reason she was unable to get free. "Kronos. The father of all Gods, that's who I serve. He showed me that my talents are being wasted."

"Luke, let go of me!" His grip only tightened, how did he get strong? Luke dropped her before running his thumb down the flat of the blade. "Your friend sacrificed herself for you and you're throwing it away!"

"Don't speak of Thalia!" he shouted. "The gods let her die! That's one of the many things they will pay for."

"Luke, please. Don't listen to him," Odette's tears gathered and dropped. As they spilled from her eyelids, she felt the color of her tears. The blood she had was leaving through them.

"My sweet girl, what has your dad's ever done for you? Kronos will rise and I need you by my side."

Odette shook her head, only now realized his plan. Luke wanted to use her abilities as a way to destroy Mount Olympus. What will he do to her now that he knows she denied?

He took a deep sigh, a terrifying silence sat between the two before he squatted to make eye contact, "Good-bye, Odette."

Her eyes widened as she turned to escape, hurrying to flee before she felt the tip of his blade collide with her ankle. A pained cry escaped her, but she continued. Luke followed after her, he wasn't struggling since she was slow.

When Odette finally made it outside, she couldn't move. Both of her legs were entirely chopped off before she was able to even mutter a word. She looked at the boy who she once trusted before realizing that there was no going back home for her. The sun was now rising, and she couldn't leave nor could she regenerate her bones fast enough.

She frowned as her skin started burning with every touch of light, her cries that once were soft and quiet were now loud and filled with pain. All over her body, it was burning, her arms were a dark black and her face was distorted to the point where she could barely see.

Luke just frowned before squatting down to her, bringing his hand to lift her head. He pressed a swift kiss to her lips before a smirk appeared on his face, "I'll miss you my sweet precious fawn."

And after that, everything went dark.
