(In case you couldn't tell, "Fabric face" is König and "Skull face" is Ghost)
A few days have passed, and Y/N is getting back to being her old self again.
Fabric face had been in to visit me a few times, as well as others from both groups taking up residency in the base.
They all seemed nice enough, some more energetic than others, but a thought had bugging me.
Who had it been that had saved me? I hadn't seen the skull faced person around at all, even on my little journeys around the facilities near the med wing where I was staying. It became a problem, my mind itching to find them and thank them for bringing me here, but they were nowhere to be found.
I was on another short trip, hugging the wall as I walked and explored their base some more than I already had, when accidentally bumped into someone.
"Sorry- I should've been paying attent-.." I started before my words cut off, my throat closing as the person I had ran into turned around.
It was skull face! I stared up at him as he glared right back down into me, his brown eyes surprisingly cold. He had his arms folded over his muscular chest, which I barely reached.
"Right, yea, watch where you're going." He grumbled, nodding his head before turning back around and starting to walk off, leaving me frozen there as I stared at him.
"Wait!" I shouted after a pause, quickly catching up to him. I could hear him sigh heavily before turning back around.
"Wha' is it? Make it quick, I 'ave a job to do." He snapped, and I quickly nodded my head as I swallowed a gulp.
"My name is Y/N. I think you saved my life." I mumbled, staring up at him and holding his gaze. His eyes narrowed, shooting daggers at me and causing a shiver down my spine.
"Right, I remember you. Names Ghost." He sighed again, his eyes relaxing behind his mask as he tilted his head slightly at me. "You feelin' better then?" He asked, though he seemed rather bored of our conversation already.
"Oh, yeah. Sorry, I just am trying to think of how to thank you, Ghost. I mean.." I paused, my thoughts racing. Not only had he saved me, he was also fucking hot.
"Save it. I don't need thanks, just doin' my job." He gave me a quick pat on the shoulder, the force nearly sending my still slightly weak body to the floor. "Now, if that's it, I got work to get back to." He added, retracting his arm and turning around once more, his heavy footsteps thudding against the carpeted floor without even giving me time to respond.
I simply nodded my head silently at his back, dumbfounded at his casualness over having saved my life.
I wandered back to my room in the medical ward, my eyes on the floor as I thought. So, that's who saved me? He seemed so nonchalant about it, maybe even a little upset I was talkin to him. I sighed quietly, closing my eyes, shouldering my way into my room, and plopping myself down onto my cot, making sure to kick my boots off before pulling the blanket up over my lap.
After a few moments, there was a soft knock on my door.
"Come in!" I chirped, watching as none other than fabric face walked in, peaking his hooded head in and glancing around before his eyes settled on me.
"Hallo Y/N, how are you feeling?" He asked causally, stepping in and then closing the door behind him.
"Good, how about yourself?" It was the usual conversation we had every time he came into my room, repetitive, but still, any conversation was welcome in my book.
"Not too bad." He hummed back, and I watched as he grabbed a chair and pulled it up next to my bed, his eyes creased in what I assumed was a smile.
I hesitated for a moment before clearing my throat.
"D'you know a.. Ghost, by chance?" I asked, getting a widening of eyes in response from fabric face.
"Oh, ja. He is the Lieutenant for the 141. Why?" He tilted his head slightly, leaning forward and resting his elbows on his knees.
"Oh, well I'm pretty sure he's the one that saved me." I mumbled back quietly, furrowing my eyebrows slightly before clearing my throat. "Lieutenant you said? So we're the same rank.." I paused, my thoughts once again racing as I tried to make up a 'file' in my head for this Ghost.
"Yes, he is. Why do you ask anyways? Have you met him?"
I nodded my head back at him, my eyes unfocused and my thoughts elsewhere.
"Yeah, I just ran into him in the hall. Is he normally that.. annoyed sounding?"
"Ja, that's his attitude often."
I nodded once more before pausing again, my eyes slowly drifting to Fabric face's eyes again.
"So, how come you wont tell me your name?" I asked after a brief pause, earning a low chuckle from him.
"It is not important. Plus I don't think you could even pronounce it correctly." He chuckled again and shook his head. "Though I suppose you probably have your own name for me since I have kept it a secret, hm?"
I nodded my head, a small smile growing over my lips.
"I call you 'Fabric face' in my head." I laughed back, to which he snorted in surprise.
"How flattering." He rolled his eyes under his hood before leaning closer. "I will tell you, only if you promise to pronounce it right." His tone was light, clearly just messing around with me.
I nodded my head, my smile widening as I drew a shallow breath in preparation.
"My name is König. Not Konig, like I know those Americans call me. König." (Koo-nish is how google translate says it.) He tilted his head at me, eyes still creased and narrowed in a supposed smile.
