Bonding

The first morning waking up in the dorms was weird for everyone. Let's just say there is a learning curve to be had when 8 guys move into 2 dorms. Each dorm only had 2 bathrooms, and let's just say that arguments broke out much too early for anybody.

After much bickering and some rough looking First days for Felix and Changbin, who seemed to get the short end of the stick in the bathrooms with no time to freshen up their looks, a general schedule had been made. Felix compromised with Minho that Minho would get the bathroom first since he is quicker in getting ready for the day. Similarly, Jeongin would go first, but mostly because he likes to take his showers at night so he did not need the shower in the morning.

Minho offered to make breakfast this morning for the bunch of us. He has become a mom in our little dorm. They split up the 2 eldest to watch over the dorms and Minho was ours.

Today was a special day for the bunch. The rehearsals would start in 3 days, the last of the edits were being made to the music today. They were given a schedule today at a bonding retreat. When the guys heard where they would be going laughter filled the room.

"A bonding retreat? Like the ones businesses go on to excuse a vacation?" Seungmin snickers from the couch.

"YES, those retreats. I mean if you would rather stay here instead of Jeju..." Minho sang, knowing the destination would change everything. As expected Seungmin snapped his head around to face the rest of us.

"Who said I didn't want to go!?" He jumped up and went to his room to get ready. The rest of us sat by the table finishing up our breakfasts.

The phones all buzzed at the same time.

Chan:
As you know, we will be leaving for Jeju today. Our flights leave at 10 so be ready in the hall with your stuff by 8. See you all in a bit!

The time was currently 7 so the group had an hour to get their stuff ready.

Felix's phone buzzed again.

Hyunjinnie:
Morning! Ready for the retreat? Han is driving me up the wall this morning with his loud self, can I sit by you in the car??

Me:
I would love that! 😄

Felix walked over to his room and dropped the duffel on his bed. The weather was going to be sunny but with a chill so he needed to take out his sweaters.

'Crap! They are on the shelf Hyunjin unpacked'

Me:
Jinnie are you busy right now..?

Hyunjinnie:
No just grabbing the last of my things, what's up?

Me:
I need your help... could you come to my dorm...?

A couple minutes later there was a knock on the door.

"Come in!" Felix stated brightly. A wide smile spread on his face when he saw Hyunjin. He was wearing travel clothes which were unexpected for Felix. Most people would wear comfortable clothes but Hyunjin was dressed in a pair of black jeans, a white t-shirt, and a black coat over it. He looked good.

"Felix... you alright?" Hyunjin tilted his head and leaned forward, catching Felix's eye.

"OH yeah! Sorry. You just don't look like I expected" Felix chuckled. He wasn't necessarily nervous. Felix had no problem admitting that Hyunjin looked good. He himself knows that he looks good so it's just a fact.

"What do you mean?" Hyunjin chuckled and raised his eyebrow.

"You just look really good. Most people wear sweats and don't give a crap at the airport but you definitely stand out. In a good way of course." Felix rubbed the back of his neck. Hyunjin smiled at the comment and felt himself slightly blush.

"Thanks..." Hyunjin said shyly. There was an awkward silence that filled the room.

"So... what did you need me for?"

"OH! Right. I need your genetic vertical abilities to help me grab the sweaters that are on the top shelf... you know what happened last time.." Felix felt silly the second the words escaped him.

"I'm sorry... now that you're here it sounds so silly. I don't want to waste your time." Hyunjin waved Felix off at his apology.

"Nonsense. I should use my GENETIC VERTICAL ACHIEVEMENTS for something good right" he was teasing Felix fully now.

"OH hush and take a compliment! I wish I was tall like you. I'm just short and helpless"

"Short maybe but helpless no. It's cute" Hyunjin responded, a smirk accompanying the end of the sentance. Felix's face blushed and Hyunjin loved it. There was something about teasing Felix and knowing that his lighthearted flirting has an affect on Felix, Hyunjin liked.

He chuckled again and started walking closer to Felix, who in turn started backing up. Felix eventually ran into the closet and had nowhere to go. Hyunjin leaned over Felix, their bodies almost touching and their faces inches apart.

"Your sweaters...?" Hyunjin reached up and grabbed the stack of soft tops and placed them in Felix's now outstretched hands. Felix had not broken eye contact and his blush intensifies.

"Cute" Hyunjin remarks before turning around and heading to Felix's bed, taking a seat.

"T-thanks.." Felix finally snapped out of his trance and walked toward his duffel with the stack of sweaters. He could not look at Hyunjin in the face and actively avoided eye contact.

Hyunjin enjoyed the sight if the flustered Felix at first but quickly started to feel guilty.

'Did I go too far.. I don't want to make it awkward...'

"So... you excited to work on some group bonding..?" Hyunjin decided to break the silence, hoping to relieve the tension that had built up in the room.

"Yeah actually.. I've never been to Jeju and I heard thay it is supposed to be beautiful." Felix still was avoiding looking at Hyunjin and his voice was soft.

"I'm sorry.... did I make you uncomfortable?" Hyunjin couldn't hold it anymore and wanted to fix the awkwardness that he knew he created. He stood up from the bed and walked toward Felix once again.

"N-no it's ok.. just was surprised that's all. I'm not used to compliments like that so I got shy..." Felix laughed lightly and covered his face with his hands.

"You shouldn't feel shy. But good, I was worried I overstepped" Hyunjin placed his hand on Felix's shoulder and gave an encouraging smile, one that Felix shyly returned. He shook his head in disagreement and returned his focus on the packing.

"Ok. I think I have all the sweaters I will need. Could you do me one last favor and put these back?" Felix finally looked Hyunjin in the face and giggled when Hyunjin saluted and grabbed the sweaters to place them back in the closet.

Once the sweaters were secure he turned and started heading toward the door. "Let me know if you need anything else Bokkie, I'll see you in half an hour." Felix grabbed Hyunjins hand and stopped him. He pulled Hyunjin in a quick hug.

"Thanks again, I'll see you in a bit!" Felix pulled away and walked back toward his duffel on the bed. He let out a deep sigh. 'That was intense'

Similarly Hyunjin was tense walking back to his dorm, 'I need to chill a bit, I don't want to chase him away'
