Before You

Jeju Day 1

It was now 7:58, and Chan, Minho, Changbin, Hyunjin, Felix, Seungmin, and Jeongin were in the hallway, bags in hand ready for the trip. Chan looked at his watch and groaned.

"Minho, can you please go check on Sung? We are leaving in 2 minutes, and I don't feel like getting scolded for being late." Chan pointed at his watch while saying it. Hyunjin and Felix looked at each other and snickered like 2 friends, trying not to laugh in class.

"What? Why do I have to do it?" Minho retorted.

"Because he actually cares about what you think and can't argue with you. Now go!" Chan ushered Minho into the dorm. The latter just sighed and dropped his head back in complaint.

Hyunjin was happy that Felix seemed to be back to normal again. He leaned over to Felix to whisper, "Still car buddies?"

Felix nodded and smiled at Hyunjin, locking their arms together and tapping his lightly. Hyunjin couldn't help but smile.

"- knew the time and when you had to be here, Hannie." Minho's voice became clear, and the door opened to reveal Jisung with Minho gently pushing him out.

"I'm forgetful you know this!" Jisung pouted at Minho, whose expression noticably softened but quickly returned to being serious.

"Then ask for help next time. We would rather help than be late." Minho sounded just like a mom, and it was kind of endearing to see.

"OK, now that we have everyone, let's go! " Chan reached his arm up and waved then all. Hyunjin and Felix couldn't contain their laughter anymore and broke.

Chan whipped his head back. "What?"

"You look like a tour guide taking a bunch of 5 year olds to the zoo." Felix laughed out, and they started to snicker as well.

"I wouldn't have to if you didn't act like children," Chan mumbled, but it was loud enough for the others to hear, causing them to laugh more. Chan rolled his eyes and continued to lead them to the car that would take them to the airport.

Once they arrived, Chan handed all of them their tickets and made sure to take a final headcount. They boarded the plane, and Hyunjin groaned, realizing that he was positioned between Jisung and Minho. It was going to be a long trip, despite the short fly time. He prepared himself for the bickering he would be stuck between.

He took out his phone

Hyunjin looked over to Felix, who stuck his tongue out at him. He rolled his eyes but smiled. He placed his headphones on his head and put on some sound music, closing his eyes and transporting himself to his mental island of peace. He tried his best to ignore the obvious bumps from Minho and Jisung as they kept invading each other's space.

A short plane ride that felt like an eternity for Hyunjin later, and they arrived in Jeju. As soon as they exited the plane, Hyunjin ran over to Felix and Jeongin, who were walking with their arms locked.

"Glad to see we didn't lose you in the battlefield," Felix teased, nudging Hyunjin in his side.

"You were just basking in my misery the whole time?" He held his chest and dramatically gasped, causing Felix to giggle. Jeongin laughed lightly at the theatrics.

It did not take long for the group to reach the hotel. It was time for trip guide Chan to take over again.

"OK listen up! Here are your room assignments. You will be coupled up. Minho, you will be with Seungmin. Changbin with Jisung. Hyunjin with Felix. Jeongin, you're with me!" Felix and Hyunjin looked at each other with bright smiles.

"Here are your keys, you have the next 2 hours to freshen up and settle in. We will meet in the lobby at 5, and yes Jisung that means 5, so we can go get food. We will have our first activity after dinner so be prepared." The group nodded and split up into their couples to find their rooms. They were all located on the 3rd floor of the hotel. Hyunjin and Felix quickly found their room and entered.

"You want the left or right bed?" Hyunjin asked, Felix flopped himself onto the left bed and Hyunjin chuckled.

"Left it is." Felix laughed at the comment but continued to lay like a starfish on the bed.

"It's so comfyyy" he groaned out and snuggled deeper. Hyunjin smiled at the sight, singing it absolutely adorable.

"Well since you seem to be content right there, do you mind if I shower first?" He patted Felix's foot causing the younger to giggle.

He didn't even say a word, he just put his thumb in the air. Hyunjin grabbed his towel and his shower stuff and walked into the bathroom. Once he figured out the temperature control of the shower, he basked in the nice water and washed the travel off. He dried his hair slightly with the towel so it wasn't dripping and wrapped it around his waist.

Once he left the bathroom he heard small snores coming from Felix, who had not moved his position on the bed. How he was comfortable like that was a mystery to Hyunjin.

Not wanting the younger to get a sprain in his neck he nudged Felix awake, who just groggily swatted the older's hand away.

"Come on, you're gonna hurt your neck. I'm done with the bathroom if you want to freshen up." Hyunjin continued to poke Felix in his side, knowing he was ticklish, which caused the younger the wiggle around and finally sit up, rubbing his eyes.

"You're mean!" Felix whined. Once his eyes were open and he had come back to reality, he noticed that Hyunjin was only wearing a towel. His hear was wet and was dripping slowly down his chest. Felix could not even try to deny that it looked damn good.

Hyunjin noticed Felix was staring and smirked at him. Worried with that happened the last time he got bold with Felix, he decided to ignore it and walked over to his suitcase to grab a shirt and put it on.

Felix was pulled out of his trance by the action and blushed. He quickly got up, grabbed his clothes and his shower stuff and disappeared into the bathroom. Hyunjin chuckled and blushed too. He enjoyed seeing Felix flustered. It was flattering to know that someone like Felix who was a bubbly and affectionate person can be affected by your mere existence.

Hyunjin got fully dressed with Felix gone in the bathroom and laid on his bed. He was mindlessly scrolling on his phone when Felix exited the bathroom. Hyunjin coo'd at the sight of the younger one with a fluffy sweater that covered his hands and shorts.

"..what..?" He asked, noticing the reaction of the older.

"Nothing. You just look so cute!" Hyunjin responded, continuing to coo as Felix covered his face with his sweater paws.

"Stopppp" Felix became shy and shoved Hyunjin to the side, causing him to almost roll off the bed.

"Sorryyy!!" Felix pulled him back up and they laughed.

Felix went to lay down in his own bed. Hyunjin reached into his bad and pulled out something with a mischievous grin on his face. He walked to Felix's bed and sat down on the edge.

"Wanna play?" He smiled and Felix looked over at the box of Uno cards that Hyunjin was holding. He broke out laughing.

"Let's do it!"

Felix would regret those words as he lost 2 rounds of Uno back to back. Felix was now pouting and Hyunjin was laughing, pinching Felix's cheeks to stop the cute pout.

There was a knock on the door and a voice could be heard from outside.

"Come on guys! We have to be down in the lobby in 5 minutes! LET'S GO!" It was Minho. Both looked at the time surprised. They had no idea it was so late.

"I'm really happy we are roomates this trip" Hyunjin smiled while grabbing his things.

"Me too!" Felix smiled back and both walked out of the room to head to the lobby. Felix locked his arm with Hyunjin's on the way down and gave him a cute smile which Hyunjin returned.
