3rd Person POV
Another normal day on the reservation. The entire pack was having one heck of a supper, since, surprisingly, almost everyone was present.
Bella, Emma, Quil's imprint and mate, Seth and Embry were all cooking some barbecue, heaps of it. Wolves had an appetite, another reason why when Bella hunted, she sometimes ate the meat of the animal she had hunted.
Quil, Sam, David, Leah and Jared were playing a friendly game of volleyball. Well, as friendly and as competitive supernatural wolves could get.
Raina and the council members, or what's left of it, sat around the campfire and conversed and talked about random things, each holding a bottle of Jack Daniel's in their hands.
"I'm not doing a TikTok trend!" Bella groaned as Emma dragged her towards the table. "Come onnnn, just follow my lead." Emma laughed out loud as she pressed record.
"Bloodsuckers!" Quil yelled alerting everyone, he had the best sense of smell out of anyone. He could smell new scents that entered from the East of the reservation.
Raina and Sam shifted and ran towards the scent.
'Lets go everyone!' Sam commanded while Bella remained a vampire and ran with them, she sheilded the entire pack as they came running and joining them until the entire pack was complete.
3 people who wore all black with red eyes and pale skin arrived into the clearing but they stopped them from walking any further.
Bella recognized them, red eyes black coats, chalky skin. Carlisle told her about them once, they were the members of the Volturi. Sam looked at Bella, talking in her head.
"Yes, I know them, you. Volturi. What is your business with the Quillete's lands?" Bella said, intimidatingly.
The short one kept staring at her, her eyes occasionally twitched as she stared at the other wolves. "It's not working.." She muttered. The boy that looked like her looked at Jane with surprise. "It doesn't? Let me try." The boy then stared intently at all of them, the wolves glared back.
When the boy didn't get the intended reaction out of them he smiled. "Aro is going to love this!"
The other girl that had black hair spoke up. "I'm traveling with a bunch of psychos." She muttered as she shook her head.
"Hi yes, we represent the Volturi, we're just exploring, yeah." Her Aussie accent was apparent. Bella relaxed as this vampire was a lot nicer. Sam then spoke up again in Bella's mind. "The alpha is asking why are you truly here."
"Hmmm." The girl smirked before nodding her head. "You're the translator I see, well my name's Angelica, this is Jane and that one is Alec."
Bella nodded her head slowly. A series of growls appeared from behind her. "They want answers." She growled.
"Ah yes, yes. Ya see. There has been stray vampires creating new borns and so, the Volturi would like to take it into their own hands." Angelica replied with a smile.
She glanced at a grey and brown wolf for a second before time stopped for the both of them. Angelica's face softened as the grey wolf's eyes widened.
Many angry barking was directed at Leah as the pack link was overloaded with anger, fear, confusion and.. amusement? That was probably Bella.
'You imprinted on a bloodsucker!'
'A red eyed one to be more worse!'
'Your grammar is stupendous.'
'Shut up Embry!'
'Welcome to the club Leah.' That's definitely Bella.
'You gotta be kidding me! First the Blacks and now you?!'
'Be normal for once Leah!'
'IT'S NOT MY FAULT!'
The wolves barked back and forth as Bella and Sam took this into their hands. Bella giving Sam a bag and Sam ran off to shift quickly, he wore nothing but just pants though.
"I am Sam, the alpha of this pack. This is Isabella. We would like to know more about these newborns for the safety of the humans here in Washington." He spoke Bella nodded her head along.
Angelica was still dazed but soon shook her head. She faced Jane and Alec. "I'll handle this situation, report back to Aro." She said plainly. Jane scowled in protest as Alec grumbled. Agelica glared and hissed at them, making herself clear, Jane and Alec reluctantly left.
"Sorry, as I was saying. There have been an increase of newborn attacks, there were 2 recent reports in Port Angeles, but they seem to be avoiding Forks as of now."
Sam looked at Bella. Bella understood, she knew what Sam intended. He knew the she knew that his decision was inevitable.
Bella sighed. Great. Another weirdass adventure.
