3rd Person POV
Jacob was gone for a while now and Edward began to pace. Was he worried? No. Did he regret being a jerk? No. Did he miss him? No. Was he lying?

Maybe.

He couldn't help himself but to stand up, his feet and body moving for itself while he walked towards the door, following the wolf-like musky smell that he recognized.

He'd ended up in the city of Rio, yet somehow, despite the hundreds of people surrounding Edward as he walked through the bustling streets, the smell of the wolf shifterwas strong. Edward felt himself glide to the crowd wordlessly and into a bar, it reeked wolves but Edward didn't care, his mind set on finding his mate. He'd lost Bella, and he can't lose Jacob, no, not now.

The bar grew quiter upon the entry of Edward, he knew then and there that this bar was all wolves. "Jacob." He muttered under his breath, his eyes glancing over to where Jacob was, laughing with someone that isn't him.

He felt a pang of anger, jealousy, and.. guilt.

Edward made his way over, ignoring the growls and glares from the others, tunnel visioning towards Jacob.

"And then i-" Jacob froze, the scent of vampire filling his nose, but this smell was not distasteful, it was alluring, smelled like old newspaper and the library. Edward?

"What is he doing here?" Rebecca growled as Edward approached, calmly before placing his hand over Jacob's shoulder, making Jacob's tense shoulders relax. "I'm his mate." Edward spoke, politely yet there was a little passive aggressiveness to it.

"HOL-" Rebecca slammed her palms on the table, standing up and pointing at Edward, but Jacob stood up and growled. "Watch it."

Edward threw his arms up in surrender, smirking a little at Jacob. "Wipe that stupid smirk off your white ass pasty face, I'm still mad at you." Jacob muttered, he knew Edward like the back of his paw. Heh. Wolf puns. "Okay, okay." Edward voice was laced with amusement and sarcasm, a distinct smile on his face.

Rebecca raised her eyebrows but a small grin appeared on her face, surprising Jacob and Edward. "Knew it!" She cackled. Jacob crosses his arms with a huff. "Heyyyy, what's that supposed to mean?"

"Rachel imprinted on a tiger shifter."

Jacob eye's widened and Edward furrowed his brows. "Those exist?" He muttered. "Mhm, both of our species descended from one, the Lycan, children of the moon."

Jacob furrowed his brows. "I see." He slowly sat back down. His sister imprinted on a tiger? A goddamned tiger?

"Jacob?" He was suddenly pulled out from his thoughts. "Huh?" He turned, Edward was standing with his hands outstretched, as if he was waiting for something. "Didn't you hear me? I'm asking you to dance with me."

Edward? Dance? Well this better be good.

"So."

Doctor Felisha tilted her head, looking down at her servant who knelt before her, trembling in fear.

"A vampire and a shifter.. As mates?" She continued, her words laced with venom.

"Y-yes doctor.." The poor shifter stuttered. "I-I've seen it, heard it, the Black sister's brother.."

Felisha's eyes widened as growl tore through her throat. "I knew those siblings were trouble.. It seems it runs in the family.." She muttered. "Very well, let's give them a celebration gift for their happy relationship." Felisha suddenly grinned, her eyes widen and face contorted in pure psychotic manner.

The servant gulped. This was not going to end well. "Send in subject 56." Felisha's red eyes gleemed.

"Yes ma'am." The servant scurried away as a whimper of relief emitted from his throat. Felisha's grin softened before stepping in front of a brook shelf. "Worry not, mi luna, we will meet once more." She said, her hand grazing the bookshelf.
