I don't feel like getting up. My body feels so heavy and exhausted. I didn't even do that much yesterday after crying my eyes out to assistant manager. Embarrassing but what's done is done. It's not like I can turn back time.

I forced myself out of bed and took a quick bath. After changing, I took my sling bag and head downstairs. Slowly and gently I took careful steps not because of the bastard who might still be here but because my stomach keeps throbbing whenever I move too fast. I snatch up some sandwich, water and apple in the fridge before going to work. Since it's saturday I was planning to work half day so that I can visit grandma Merry. It's been days or maybe a week now since I last saw her. I miss her. I just want to take my mind off things so I think this is the best option to do.

I ate the sandwich and drank the water while walking to work. My meal was too bland and simple, it feels like it didn't even reached my stomach since it's still growling in hunger. Despite my hunger all I settled with was water to somehow quench the hunger I'm feeling. This hunger and exhaustion is draining my body so much. I've never been this exhausted.

"How are you feeling puppy?" Mina asked worriedly.

"Brilliant," I lied. The twins shared a look and was about to say something when I glared at them. "Don't ask," I warned.

"You heard her," assistant manager said. "Now don't bother Dawn."

They groan, "Aunt Cielle!" they protest and this earned them a sharp glare from assistant manager. Instead of getting scared the twins grinned playfully. They really resemble the manager a lot. "Aunt Canna!! Aunt Cielle is being a killjoy again," they called and manager appeared in the locker room just in time.

"What's going on here? I heard someone shouting," she asked glancing at us.

"Aunt Cielle is scolding us again for simply worrying for puppy," Nina whined. It's like I'm watching a scene of children whining at their parents.

Manager looked at assistant manager who just glared at her. "You know we can't bother Dawn too much." she said then turned back to assistant manager, "And you my lovely assistant should learn to go easy with my nieces sometimes. They're still young."

"You're just too soft on them," she argued and this made the manager chuckle.

"Maybe. Anyways, why don't we go back to work now. Let's save the chitchat for later," the twins nodded their head and waved goodbye at me.

"Bye Aunt Canna. Bye Aunt Cielle," they said grinning before dashing out of the locker room.

"Those twins really are your exact replica." assistant manager said pointing her finger accusingly at manager who did nothing but give her an innocent look. "It's like they consumed all the bad stuff from you."

These two are really weird when it comes to showing their feelings for each other. Though watching them argue sometimes can be quite amusing.

"Oh come on Cielle. Don't be too harsh on us. Do you really want Dawn to see us fighting?" manager glanced at me and I immediately looked away and pretended to not hear them.

I heard assistant manager let out a sigh of defeat. "You're insufferable," she muttered and I swear I heard a smack sound which I'm pretty sure came from a kiss. It was indeed a kiss and I'm glad I didn't look. "You idiot!" assistant manager shouted and then I heard chuckling followed by the closing of the door.

"What did I just witnessed?" I muttered to myself in complete silence. It's like I forgotten my exhaustion after the drama I just saw. I don't exactly know how to react.

Aside from the short drama I just witnessed, the day continued as usual. Nothing much happening, customers comes to eat and leave after. It's not that busy since it's still morning. Usually customers increased around noon which is basically lunchtime. It's boring to wait but it's way boring being stuck here in the kitchen with nothing to do. The lack of work triggers all the things I feel in my body that I have forgotten a while ago.
