Principal Williams POV

Why do I have work on the exact day of Dawn's birthday? I should be with her today and not here doing tons of paperwork. I'm actually not at school instead I'm here at the main office with Nathan. There was an emergency that needs our immediate attention that's why I was called to come here.

Turns out there was a confusion and an accident in one of the facilities. A couple of evidences and cases were lost after one of the staffs misplaced it. They are currently searching for it now. Another problem is that one of the suspect committed suicide during the interrogation. Results shown from the autopsy that he drank poison before he got caught. This won't be easy since the complainant will definitely be furious to hear about this. They plan to make him pay for everything he did but with what happened they'll be pissed and it'll take us a whole lot of explaining to clear this all up.

While waiting for an update from the staff, I was given other things to do. Files and paperworks that needs my signature and approval. "I seriously want to go home now." I whined, putting the file back on my table.

"I know it's your girl's special day today but this needs to be done today or you won't have any free time at all," Nathan explained, glancing at me.

I groan then went back to work. "I hate this. Such crappy timing," I muttered which made Nathan chuckle. I want to see Dawn right now.

I wonder what she's doing. Is she still asleep? Or is she eating? Man, I really miss her.

Remembering last night's kiss and the first time she called my name feels so surreal. I didn't know Dawn calling my name would be this pleasant and heart-stopping to hear. Eventhough there was a slight downside, it was totally fine. In the end we were able to talk things out. I know she was scared and worried when I unconsciously touched her. It must've triggered her trauma. I actually wasn't planning to do anything other than that, it's just that I couldn't resist and lost my sense of awareness when I kissed her that I didn't noticed what I did. I simply want to feel her in my touch, to get closer to her though it wasn't exactly the right time for that. It's okay though since I'm willing to wait for her.

That aside, I would definitely love it if she could call my name all the time but sometimes it can be quite dangerous especially if it's just the two of us. I just can't help but get turned on whenever my name slips out of her mouth. I should really get ahold of myself whenever we're alone. I turned my phone on and Dawn's sleeping face appeared on my screen. Yeah, I took a picture of her sleeping before I left. She's really adorable. I'm glad I took this. It'll make a great motivation for me.

Nathan's phone rang all the sudden and it immediately got my attention. I waited eagerly until he was done talking on the phone. "Good news the lost evidences and cases are now found and are securely back in place," he said.

"What about the other problem?"

"Our client wants to talk to us right now in person, they're waiting in the conference room. And judging from the accident, they're not thrilled to hear that the suspect died."

"Can this day get any worse," I groaned then stood up. "Let's just get this over with," I added and Nathan nodded as we head to the conference room.

Once we arrived there, we exchanged greetings before discussing about the accident. They did complain a bit much but we thoroughly explained to them what happened saying that he drank poison before he was caught and died just when the interrogation started. At first, they were angry but when we assured them that we'll do further investigation about this matter, they eventually let it slide. Like they have a choice. The suspect is dead now so there's pretty much nothing they can do about it. To make things easier we also told them that we'll return the money they paid for this case. It's not like we'll lose anything if we give them back their money.
