Principal Williams POV
One
Two
Three days have passed and she still hasn't woken up yet. I never once left her side and I didn't even sleep as I watched over her. I was scared that if I look away for a second she'll disappear from my sight. I can't keep still especially when she still hasn't woken up yet.
The doctors always monitor her but the results are always the same. They said that due to the trauma and near death experience, Dawn's mind had shut down as a way to cope with the pain. Which simply means she's in a coma. Eventhough she's stable, it's still not enough for me. If only she'll open her eyes.
I tried talking to her about the things we did, may it be funny or not and I told her about the things I wanted to do more with her. I wanted her to hear my voice so that she'll want to wake up. I did everything I could to the point that I kept threatening the doctors and nurses here that they'll pay with their life if she doesn't wake up.
Someone knocked on the door and when I glanced over my shoulder Canna, Cielle and the twins along with Nathan stepped inside the room. Since Dawn was hospitalized Nathan was considerate enough to contact them on my behalf since I was obviously out of it during that time. They were furious and worried after knowing what happened to Dawn. And for 3 straight days they visited the hospital to check on Dawn who remained unconscious in her hospital bed.
"Still no progress?" Canna asked, setting the stuff they brought on the table.
I shook my head, my shoulders sagging down. "She still hasn't woken up," I sighed.
They sat on the sofa that is on the other side of the bed while Nathan sat on the chair beside me. "Don't be dejected. She'll eventually wake up. Have faith in her." Nathan smiled and gave me a light nudge on the arm.
Nathan's right. I'll just need to put my faith to Dawn and wait here patiently. Waiting is never going to be a problem to me since I will always wait for her. I just hope that she won't take too long. Waiting can be quite a torture when she's not fully awake.
"Nathan has a point. We'll never stop worrying for her but it's best to not show any signs of weakness in front of Dawn," Canna said, trying her best to cheer me up.
"We want puppy to wake up too as soon as possible," Mina added, comforting her twin.
"Let's just give her the rest she needed to recover." Cielle said, her hands crossed around her chest as she looks at Dawn's sleeping face. "Which also means you need to rest as well if you don't want to collapse in front of Dawn the moment she opens her eyes," she added, now looking at me with those cold gray eyes.
"I'm perfectly fine."
"It's not the way I see it. You should definitely look at yourself in the mirror right now. You're a complete wreck and I'm sure Dawn won't be pleased to see you in that state," she commented in a bit snarky tone yet instead of being offended I think she has a point. I haven't got a wink of sleep since she got here in the hospital and it's making my head fuzzy from forcing myself to stay awake for too long. "And I'm not saying you should go home and rest since I know too well you won't leave her side. But you should know that you can rest all you want here where you are closer to Dawn. No one's forcing you to leave," she added and they all nodded in agreement.
"We'll watch her for the meantime," Canna offered.
"Oh and before you get some shut eye. You might as well take a shower first. You stink partner." Nathan teased me and even covered his nose.
I do not stink. I still smell fine even if I didn't take a shower. This idiot is just exaggerating things. "Shut up you dumbass." I punched his arm which made me wince but then he chuckle causing the twins to chuckle as well while Canna and Cielle just looked at each other with a knowing smile.
