Principal Williams POV

"Miss Williams could I talk with you for a minute?" the doctor asked. "It would be a lot preferable if we talk outside." he added, glancing at Dawn who is sleeping soundly in the hospital bed.

"Sure." I replied, giving Dawn's forehead a kiss before following him outside.

I'm now in the hospital where Dawn got admitted. When she threw up blood I didn't waste time to call an ambulance and demand the doctors to tend her. But because the hospital was busy and the doctors have their hands full with patients, I did what I had to. I hired private nurses and a doctor then took her in one of the hospital's VIP rooms. I don't plan to get Dawn mixed up in the other wards.

I can't believe this happened to her. Why did I not see this coming? The huge bruise in her stomach should have been enough proof that she's no longer fine. I was too focused with having her with me that I neglected her condition. My heart almost jumped out of my chest when I saw her in that state.

"The vomiting of blood was due to the internal bleeding in her stomach caused by being hit with something hard multiple times. It was a good thing you took her to the hospital right when the bleeding started since it would have been dangerous if it was prolonged. We already gave her medicine to stop the bleeding and now she just needs to rest. We're lucky that the bleeding is not that serious so there's no need to do any surgery," the doctor explained and I nodded my head in relief. "Aside from the internal bleeding we also found bruises, wounds, cuts as well as scars almost everywhere in her entire body.......I don't mean to intrude but based on her wounds, was she perhaps abused by someone? Since I'm pretty sure you won't get those kind of wounds from just a simple accident," he added, looking really concern.

"Something like that but that's a different matter. Don't worry about the cause of those things since I'm already investigating that," I replied as briefly as possible.

"Of course. I wouldn't dare pry." he said nodding his head. "But I suggest tending her with utmost care. Her body is clearly weakened due to the long duration of abuse and once she regains consciousness do refrain her from moving too much and don't forget to feed her with light foods only. Like plain soup, rice porridge and it would be preferable if she eats fruits but make sure to blend it in blender for easy digestion and she needs constant consumption of water since her stomach can't digest hard foods yet. Just remember that all she needs is nutritious foods and plenty of rest for her fast recovery."

"Thank you doc."

"My pleasure Miss Williams. Just call me if something happens. I'll be sure to send nurses to check and monitor her condition 24/7."

I nodded my head and then he left. I went back to Dawn's room and sat on the chair beside her bed. I watch her chest rising and falling in a steady rhythm while listening to the stable beats of her heart in the monitor. I'm so relieved that nothing serious happened to her. I'll go crazy if this went the other way around.

I let out a shaky breath as took her hand in mine. Planting a tender kiss on the back of her hand, I then pressed it on my cheek as I look at her sleeping face.

Since I clearly don't plans to leave Dawn's side, I called Nathan instead. I know he's a bit far but he'll come here once I tell him to. I instructed and gave him lists of the things that Dawn will need as well as the food that the doctor suggested.

********
Almost half an hour had passed and still Dawn isn't waking up. The doctor did say that it'll take some time for her to wake up only because she's trying to recover and that there's nothing to worry about. Still, this can't prevent me from worrying more. I want her to wake up now. I want to look her in the eyes, to talk to her. I don't like seeing her like this.
