It's not always about how good someone looks or how great they sound
Sometimes, it's about who always loved you and who always stayed around
When things get tough, the women you buy expensive jewelery for will leave you bleeding on the ground.

Let's talk about priorities. You are only sixteen. Why are you thinking of a wedding cake?
And you, you are only eighteen. Why are you thinking of meeting her parents for heaven's sake
And you, sir. You are forty years old, why don't you take your son fishing in the lake?

Yesterday, I got a call from one of my old classmates, and he wanted us to talk over tea
The same kid who laughed at my brother when he got kicked out because his Dad couldn't pay the fee
I went with my brother, and after a thirty minute talk, a fentanyl addicted man is all we see.

What's my point? To everyone you meet, show them nothing but love
It's not always about how much money or cars they have
After six years is when I realise the importance of counting the blessings you get from above.

No one cares whether you tried or not, but the truth is people will laugh at you when you fall
But you just can't watch them laugh at you when you're down and roll
Everyone has their own way of doing things. One of my guys is about to get a million from just kicking a ball.

Every night, I see my political leaders lying on the 10:00 PM show
Talking about vision 2030. Have you seen how much money we owe?
My president just scored a hat-trick. Talk about adding tax three times in a row.

People back at home can't even afford a pack of flour
And there you go in your Lexus LX 570 getting your wife an expensive flower
Then go ahead and lie to your people about their golden hour
They say victory is sweet, but our regret is nothing more than dead on sour.
