What happens when the cameras are off and the lights go dim
People will praise you on social media and all, but the truth is not everyone is on your team
Everyone will walk away when you're under the spotlight, and you'll be all alone under the sad beam.
Never let people know anything about your private life. A lot of men love to hate
They won't put any respect on your name no matter what you did to make sure your whole family ate
And no one will ever give you flowers when you when you decide to work hard and choose your fate.
There's no more love in the air. Back in the city, crime was all that I saw
And in the world we're living in, it gets impossible to rely on the law
Meanwhile, our county governor just bribed his way through his court case for the third time in a row.
I see jobless people bragging on their Instagram of how much they make in a week
Everyone claims to be looking after their well-being, but the truth is fame is the only thing they seek
But I don't speak much. Sometimes, it's better to shut your beak.
It's funny how people look at you in awe when you make it and are out of sight
But they couldn't care less when you worked your head off late in the night
My grandpa told me you don't always have to be so loud. Remember Son, barking dogs seldom bite.
For sure, everyone will grow up, have three kids, and a wife
The problem is... What will the kids think of their life?
Will your wife enjoy your good love and laughter, or will she tell all her problems to a knife?
Will your husband be proud to hold your hand around the city and call you his lady?
Will he be happy to take you out on dinner dates? Open the car door for you when you're ready?
