Flowey never dreamed, not in the sense he'd see things happen while he was sleeping. No, his 'sleep' was a way to pass the time quickly, if anything. He was sort of jealous of those that could dream, controlling every aspect of a situation without the hassle of scaring monsters into his bidding, though he knew better than to think he wouldn't get bored quickly.
He had faint memories of the dreams he'd have as a kid, though they were more similar to nightmares. He'd wake up in tears, startling Chara who'd always do their best to soothe their teary brother.
'What a crybaby' Flowey would think, but he couldn't deny the thought of being comforted over something so silly made his 'stomach' sink. Maybe that was why Asriel was so dazed when he woke up to petals in the snow, yet not cold in the slightest.
His thoughts were scrambled as he tried to make sense of his surroundings, but the soft glow of white just ahead of him caught his attention, his soul radiating with urgency.
A spotlight shone over Papyrus, he didn't question from where, instead focused on keeping his knees buckling from fear. The scene around him was familiar, if a little hazier than usual, though he found every time something was off. He gazed up at the tall being that slowly stepped closer to him, little by little, the threatening aura only weighing further on his shoulders as the ones he loved stood by without saying a word. Monsters lined the forest edge, familiar faces all in permanent disappointment as his frail bones shook to the point he rattled.
"Sans? Sans please, just this once I need you to help, please Sans-" he begged with no answer, regretting ever looking away as his focus again shifted to the looming figure.
"You.. you dont have to do this." He stated unsurely with a shaking breath, his arms slowly spreading open as he found he was unable to close his sockets. He knew his fate well, though it wouldn't stop the almost scripted way he'd fall to his knees, smile frozen to his teeth as he awaited the inevitable taste of iron in his jaw.
Asriel stumbled as he made it to the tree line just beside his other half, soul pounding so hard he could've sworn it was what had led him there. It only took seconds for him to take in the sight, his best friend trembling as the wind blew his bright red scarf every which way, and there in front of him it stood.
A terrifying, unimaginable creature, something twisted and slowly lurching forward as it stood just feet away from the smiling skeleton. He could see the frozen tears on his cheekbones, shining like pearls as the snow suddenly felt cold again. He was closer before he even knew it, he didn't remember ever moving, but his priorities remained only on the shimmering skeleton just steps away, reaching for the bright red glove nearest to him as the dread of the inevitable leaked from him.
Soon he couldn't tell which fear was his or Papyrus', but he couldn't care less, pulling as hard as he could until the other monster was pulled firmly into his vines.
Papyrus felt weightless as he was suddenly thrown out of the way, the freezing snow and wind practically melting from under him as the surprise of something new set into his bones.
His focus went from place to place, soon landing on the vines holding onto his spine like there was nothing more important in that moment.
Despite the warmth, he was frozen in shock, the precisely timed routine he was expecting being changed for the first time since he could remember.
The thought itself brought him so far into reality he was slingshotted awake, taking heavy breaths as he looked down at the weight against his body.
Asriel stirred slowly, face pulled into a worried grimace as he pulled Papyrus as close as possible.
