Episode fIVE LOVLIESSSS

Fun fact? Sad fact.

The original title of this episode was called "Better to Sleep."

And it was for this reason: The ending of Ep 5 was originally going to be Luke vs Kenny instead of Jane vs Kenny, and at the end of the episode you were going to have to make Clem choose to stay with AJ in the cold storm and both die by freezing to death, or leave AJ behind, and she lives.

"Killing one in order to save many is part of survival."

Carver approaches the lodge with his gang, smirking.

...

"I'll only need a minute," Kenny lowly speaks, grabbing a crowbar from the nearby work bench.

...

Sarita looks back at Kenny with horror and sadness, shaking her head as she and (Y/N) and Clement leave.

"Should've put you out of your misery right then..."

Kenny raises the crowbar, and swings it down onto Carver.

...

"When I look at Kenny now... He just... He seems broken. And broken people get reckless."

...

"Well? You're it, Princess!" Clement shouts with a wave, laughing.

(Y/N) grins back before dashing after him, the two laughing together.

...

"Here." Jane holds out the nail file, Clement reaching out and taking it with a sigh.

"Thanks."

...

"If things start heading south, don't let them drag you down with them."

...

Rebecca smiles sadly. "You two take care of him for me... Okay?"

...

The group all yell as the Russian men do the same, their guns all aiming at one another in a stand off.

Clement feels a chill go down his spine, making him slowly turn towards (Y/N). His eyes widen and his breathing picks up when he sees Rebecca slowly rising, the baby boy falling into the powdery snow. Her eyes were glazed over a milky white, snarls coming from her and her skin a dead shade of gray.

"(Y/N)!" Clement shouts, swiftly drawing his pistol.

He takes aim, (Y/N)'s eyes widening in fear and confusion when he fires. The bullet flies past her ear, striking Rebecca through the forehead just as she lunged for her.

...

The Russian men take aim, and fire.

(Y/N)'s ears rang violently through her skull, her vision dark. She could hear muffled shouting, along with gunfire and the distinct sound of a baby wailing. Her breathing was harsh and heavy, her lungs feeling like ice in her body with each breath she took.

She could hear a familiar voice shouting her name, urging her to get up and move and followed by gunfire. Her eyes slowly open, her pupils shrinking from the blinding sunlight as she flinches and squints.
