Naomi and Chopper soon got comfortable with each other. The little reindeer even crawled into her bed as she laid back down to get some more rest. She claimed her head was still spinning.
Chopper talked about his past. Explaining how he was born a normal reindeer with an unusual nose color. One day he ate the Hito Hito no Mi, allowing him to take on human like qualities. Because he was different, his family jumped him and left him for dead.
He tried to blend in with humans but they only saw him as a monster. So he wondered the mountains alone until he came across Dr.Hiriluk. The quack doctor taught him medicine. But one day he accidentally killed him when he thought it would save him. Ever since then he's worked along side Dr.Kureha. He's dream becoming the ability to cure every disease.
He had a long cry thinking about these past memories. Before crying again when Naomi told him her past. Although she was over it, I didn't mean she wasn't still triggered sometimes. If she ever saw a Celestial Dragon again, they might as well make a buster call.
It wasn't long before the girl got up with the help of the small doctor. She went to check on Nami. Surprised to see the others in the room also.
"Nami! You're ok!" She smiled as she hugged the ginger girl. The navigator laughed as she hugged her friend back. They did that dramatic rocking hug.
"Yeah turns out, Dr.Kureha was coming down the mountain the same time y'all was going up." Vivi giggled lightly. Naomi's eyes twitched as she looked at the reindeer she came in with. He smiled nervously from his hiding spot. He quickly ran out before the girl could say anything.
"Well I don't know about you guys, but I'm ready to go." Naomi smiled avoiding eye contact with Luffy. He frowned noticing that but didn't say anything.
The crew spoke and looked at Luffy for confirmation. He agreed with the others and set off to leave. The boy did take note of how the girl stuck closer to everyone else than him. It frustrated him more than anything.
Fast forward to the ship💫
Luffy had convinced Chopper to join their crew. With a heartfelt goodbye the Doctor boarded their ship.
Dr.Kureha had activated the device Dr.Hiriluk had been working on before he died. Making cherry blossoms bloom in the snow. Naomi captured some petals in a water bubble. Turning into a snow glob for the young Reindeer.
Chopper slowly integrated into the crew but stuck close to the dark skin beauty. She was like a big sister to him as he felt closest to her.
"So what's his role?" Zoro asked as he took a swig of his drink. They all sat at the kitchen waiting for their food to be ready.
Esme was helping Usopp with whatever he seemed to be building. Helping him write out blue prints and theory's.
Nami and Vivi were talking to Naomi as she helped Sanji cook again. She enjoyed being a sous chef as he was fun to work with. Chopper sat on Nami's lap as the girl rubbed his head. He enjoyed it as he read a medical book.
