Ch/45

*PRESENT*

Another week had passed when Max and Hiashi were going over ways to find Hinata. But he was still pissed about the live Hanabi and Naruto had done.

"All that bullshit about her being obsessed and stalking them." He paced back and forth angrily while mumbling things to himself.

Max finally did take a shower and brush his teeth but that's all he did. His hair was growing out of the short haircut he kept it in, his eyes had bigger bags under them, and his stubble was starting to form into a beard.

He had to force himself to eat but doing it without Hinata just felt wrong. So maybe after like 6 bites, he was officially done.

"You need to take it easy," Adam told him as he focused back on his screen. "This is not okay. They're painting Hinata out to be the crazy one when it's the other way around."

Hiashi knew that if he spoke about his disagreement about Hanabi being innocent in all this, he may get into a heated argument with Max and he didn't want that to happen.

"I don't think my daughter is keen to be involved in her sister's kidnapping." Max stopped pacing and turned to him, shooting him a dead glare. "Are you sure about that?"

Hiashi narrowed his eyes at him, "What's that supposed to mean?" Max never changed his facial expression. "I mean, she seems pretty happy to date him and any family that's okay with that must be feeling the same way."

"You need to keep your mouth closed about shit you don't understand, nor shit that's your business!" He hit a soft spot, yeah it was true, but it wasn't his place to say anything about it.

Max's fists clenched. "You're lucky I'm even speaking to you, hell, you're lucky that Hinata decided to give you a chance after treating her like shit!" It turned into an argument.

"Just because we're on the same side when it comes to finding my daughter, doesn't mean I'm gonna let you vilify the other one."

Max couldn't get over the gaslighting. "Your other daughter just sat up in a live video and accused my girlfriend of being a stalker and being mentally ill." Hiashi opened his mouth but he wasn't done with his speech.

"They both sat up there stating lies to the public! Naruto is the obsessive 1, he's the 1 stalking and acting like a fucking maniac! And what does her sperm donor do? Still protect the other daughter, that willingly sees and accepts that freak for the piece of shit he is." Hiashi couldn't say anything because it was true, he still wanted to protect Hanabi.

He watched that live too and agreed with most comments about them being together being nauseating but he hated himself for feeling that way about his child.

"Is it such a big deal for you to choose Hina, just this once?" Hiashi had a tough choice to make because there was a need to protect Hanabi. She's the baby and he's always had to do everything in his power to keep her safe.

But here he was suffering without Hinata again and he didn't want that to become permanent, that's why he was on his hands & knees begging for her forgiveness.

He knew once a situation would come around he would have to choose her.

He just didn't understand why he had to choose between both daughters.

They're both his babies, so picking 1 over the other isn't right.

"I found something!"

They both took their eyes off each other and ran to Adam who was currently overlooking the documents on his laptop. "What did you find?" Hiashi was on the right side of him & Max was on the other side.
