Saanvi POV:
I slowly whispered, "Dad?" He laughed sarcastically, asking, "Oh, so you remember this old man, I see." I shouted, "Where is my real family? What did you do to them?"
He smirked, saying, "Well sorry to say that your parents are no more, princess. But don't worry. The remaining people in your family have been searching everywhere for you. But you know me well, right? I hid you so good."
My entire body was filled with disgust for this man. How could he do this? Will money make a man do anything? I said, "If they aren't even alive, how come I have the inheritance?"
He said, "Oh, you don't worry about that. Your pathetic father saved 60% of the company shares in your name, thinking you will find them one day." I asked, "Who are they?"
He smirked, saying, "You have known enough, princess. Now, come on, sign those papers, and then we will leave you." I said, "How come I will know that you will leave me once I sign those papers?"
Both brothers looked at each other, and Chachu said, "You are really very intelligent, doll." I sighed, knowing these both are just puppets. There is a real boss for them. I wonder who is that? Of course, my dad being alive is unbelievable, but then again, he is the cruel man who took me away from my family, so he can do anything to stay alive.
I wanted to know who saved him and who is he doing all this for. I said, "I will sign those, but on one condition," my dad well, not the real dad, shook his head, indicating me to continue. I asked, "I want to know who saved you, how come you are alive? and who is making you do all this?"
He smirked, saying, "You seriously want to know this?" I nodded. He said, "Fine. When your beloved Vihaan shot me, I was lucky that he hit me near the shoulder, not the heart. Some outsiders took me to the hospital, whom I easily tackled to run from there. And about the one who is behind me is—"
When he was telling this, we all heard a loud sound of a door falling. I smirked, knowing Aan is here. But wait, it is the wrong time. He was about to say the real boss's name. Shit! Now he became alert, and we will never get to know now.
I saw Vihaan and many other men, all dressed in black, coming there. Both the brothers looked at each other, and my father slowly tried to escape, while my Chachu faced Vihaan. He asked, "Are you fine, Vie?" I managed to say "yes."
I guess he doesn't remember my father because he didn't recognize him, and this made it easy for him to escape. He should not escape because I will never know who is behind him. I shouted, "Aan, don't let that man escape."
He looked at the men behind him, indicating them to catch him. Many followed him while Chachu punched Vihaan. I shouted, "Don't touch him!" Though I was internally shaking because I can face anyone but Chachu.
I hate that feeling, that feeling of being abused, that feeling of being scared of him. Vihaan didn't punch him back; he just kept looking at me in the eye, as if he is telling me to come save him. But how? My hands are tied. Chachu kept beating him. I shouted not to hit him. I looked around to find a knife falling on the ground. I tried to move the chair, and after some time, I managed to get it.
I smirked, trying to cut my ties. But why is Aan not reacting? Even when the other men wanted to come help him, they addressed him as "King," and Aan just stopped them.
After I finally managed to open my ties, I kicked Chachu from behind, and he fell on his front. He turned to look at me in shock. I caught Aan, shouting, "Why the hell didn't you fight back, Aan?" He smiled, saying, "I wanted you to fight with him. Vie, come on, show him who you are, Show him you're not weak anymore."
I turned to Chachu, finally realizing that I kicked him. I kicked him? What the heck? He got up, trying to catch me, but I held his hand, twisting it back, to which he just screamed in pain.
I said, "I am the kindest person you will ever know chachu, but until you mess with my husband, I will fucking show you why I got my husband's last name. Understand?" I kicked him again, to which he fell on the ground, looking at me scared. I bent down, looking him in the eye, "Remember, I am not Saanvi Malhotra or Saanvi Rathore anymore. I am Saanvi Vihaan Singhania. You hurt him, and I will kill you."
I punched him again in the face. Aan caught me, saying, "Enough, Vie. They will take care of the rest. Come on, let's get you home." I nodded, hugging him tight. Until then, I didn't know how much I missed being in his arms. Until then, I didn't know how much I was tired, how much I wanted to cry, and most importantly, how much I am mentally drained.
I was hugging Aan, then I saw Chachu holding a gun and pointing it at Vihaan. Before any of the men could stop him, he released the bullet. I would never let Aan die, especially not for me. I pushed him to the other side, and I got hit by the bullet.
It wasn't like they show in the movies, where after the bullet hits, we fall in slow motion and still have the strength to fight. Nothing like that. When it hit me, I almost immediately fell on the ground with a loud thud, and trust me, damn, it is really very painful.
I saw one guy shooting Chachu, and he died just like that – he's gone. Aan rushed to my side, shouting something, but my ears weren't working. In fact, nothing in my body was working. I managed to say, "Aan... I... am... f...i...n...e."
That's all. I'm out. Everything went black after that.
I sighed, praying to God, "Please god, let me live for my Aan."
