IT HAS BEEN A WEIRD FEW MONTHS FOR CINDY. It felt a little less enjoyable with the Byers gone. The atmosphere in the group was now quite dull, being in high school and everything. Everyone had begun to grow up and go down different paths, and some of those weren't great.

Lucas joined the basketball team to rank in with the cool kids. Dustin and Mike were really mad at him for that but Lucas claimed it would be good for them, they wouldn't be bullied, but they weren't accepting it.

Max hardly talks to the group anymore, she has become way more distant and has fully broke up with Lucas. She's not doing well with Billy's death. It had gotten worse.

Cindy tried to be there for her, Max secretly enjoyed her company, but she was letting her grief and guilt take control and didn't want to admit anything because she felt like she didn't deserve that.

Although, for Dustin and Mike, they remained the same, joined Hellfire Club run by Eddie Munson, who Cindy found annoying, but they liked it and she couldn't crush their spirits.

Cindy and Dustin remained sort of strong, something was bothering Cindy about their relationship but she just thought they could work through it. They didn't agree on certain things but that never really held them back.

Although having to hang out with Dustin and Mike meant having to hang out with Eddie and she couldn't handle it because he always found a way to embarrass her and pick on her.

She stepped up to Dustin's door and knocked on it, the door didn't waste time swinging open and Mrs. Henderson stood on the other side, the woman immediately smiled seeing Cindy. "Hi sweetie!" She brought her in for a hug.

Ever since Dustin's mother met Cindy, she always loves it whenever she comes over. She couldn't have picked anyone else to date Dustin. "I'll go get Dustin," she smiled, going to turn around but Dustin arrived at the door, out of breath.

"Right here," he sighed, resting his hands on his knees out of breath.

"Did you sleep in again?" Cindy questioned, smirking.

"Absolutely not," he scoffed and kissed her on the cheek. "Bye mom," he smiles briefly and leaves the house, closing the door.

"Robin is riding with us by the way. I told him no since we were picking you up but he apparently didn't listen," she explained.

"It's fine, I don't care," he chuckled.

"Also, look what I made you," she grinned, pulling out a mixtape from her bag.

He gasped and held it, "you're so great." He sighed, holding it to his chest. Mixtapes had become their thing, after he made one for her a couple months ago, and she promised to make him one and put a lot of effort into it.

She walked over to the backseat and opened the door, allowing him in first and he glared at her, "I'm supposed to do that." She shrugged and grinned cheekily.

He rolled his eyes playfully and hopped into the back and she followed, sitting beside him and shutting the door. "Hey Steve, Hey Robin."

"Hi Dustin," Robin replied.
