CINDY DUMPED HER BIKE IN DUSTIN'S FRONT YARD, RUSHING UP TO THE FROMT DOOR TO RING THE DOORBELL. She barely gave herself a chance to breath. Dustin quickly answered and his eyes widened as he laid eyes on her. He had been meaning to talk to her but he wasn't actually expecting her to show up at his house.

They stared at each for a moment, feeling the awkwardness after yesterday. He finally realised they were looking at each other in silence and he stepped aside to allow her in, "thanks." She smiled and followed him to his room.

As soon as he shut his bedroom door he turned to her, immediately setting off into a frantic fit. "I'm so sorry about yesterday. I should have stood up for you. I was being dumb and that's no excuse but I'm so, so sorry." He said quickly, grabbing her hands.

She smiled softly, rubbing the back of his hands, "it's okay. It doesn't bother me anymore. Besides, I can't stay mad at you forever," she admitted.

He still felt bad, someone was being absolutely horrible to her and he sat back and watched. He would never live with himself.

She saw the unsure expression on his face, he wasn't convinced by her response. She pulled him closer, tightening the hold on his hands. "Seriously, it's okay. I promise," she leant in and planted a kiss on his cheek and he finally smiled, all flustered.

He wrapped his arms around her, swinging her about in his arms, she squealed as he fell over onto his bed, taking her with him. They settled down and locked eyes. Her eyes flickered between his eyes and his lips, she wanted to plant a kiss on them, but something held her back, the awkward tension between the two, took over and allowed her concern to get the better do her.

She could tell by the look on Dustin's face he felt the same, from the same hesitation she felt.

She cleared her throat and sat up, and he mentally cursed himself as she moved away from his eyeline.

He sat up slowly, looking at her as she stared down at her hands. "I need to tell you something," she started. He grew a little nervous, thinking it was about them, "last night. Before I went to sleep. I felt something, something I haven't felt since Summer last year." His eyes widened as he had a slight inkling of what she was talking about. "I think he's back..." He skipped a breath hearing her say that. He shook his head furiously, not wanting to believe it.

"It can't be, we ended it." She shook her head, she knew it wasn't the mind flayer this time. It was him, he never told her who he was, but she knew he was powerful.

"It's not the mindflayer. It's something else," that piqued his interest, he raised an eyebrow at her.

"What do you mean, something else?" He questioned, concerned.

"I... I don't know his name, but he isn't a monster. He's human." Dustin's eyes widened again.

Cindy walked slowly through the forest, chittering from the slight cold breeze that washed over her, although occasionally the warmth from her powers would keep her warmed and relaxed slightly.

She grunted, stepping over the final vine and making it out of the trees, only to arrive at some old decrepit house. Weird bat things surrounded the place, she wondered if that would be a good hiding spot, somewhere the monsters would least expect, under the protection of scary bats.

First, she would have to figure out a way into the house without getting attacked. They seemed to be asleep, so maybe now was her chance.

She ran down the hill and over the road, up the steps and swiftly into the house. It somehow went undetected. She let out a deep breath, leaning her hands up against the door. As soon as she turned around, something stood at the bottom of the stairs, glaring at her. She jumped and tripped over a vine, falling to the floor.
