Just a disclaimer, all these characters and ideas belong to James dasher. I only own Maya!

Gally pulled us out of the pit after a full day and by then, our planning was already complete. I wasn't sure how it would actually play out and I was honestly very nervous.

Our lives were at stake.

Thomas was dragged by two Gladers towards the open maze doors with Teresa and me following with our own escorts. Three long logs stuck out of the ground in front of us but I didn't question them.

Thomas really looked like he was unconscious but I couldn't focus on him now. Only Gally.

The two Gladers holding Thomas dropped him and I winced, knowing he could feel and hear everything.

"This is such a waste." Gally muttered.

The Gladers left began to gather around us to watch. Newt stood in my peripherals and he nodded slightly, knowing I could see him.

"Gally," Winston spoke up, and Gally looked at him impatiently. "it doesn't feel right, man."

"Yeah, what if Thomas is right?" Jeff joined in. "Maybe he can lead us home."

"We are home. Okay? I don't wanna have to cross any more names off that wall." Gally replied.

"You really think banishing us is gonna solve anything?" Teresa asked.

"No," Gally answered easily. "but this isn't a banishing. It's an offering."

"What?!" Teresa exclaimed.

"Crap." I breathed.

"Gally no!" Teresa and I struggled against our restraints as Gally's followers tied us individually to the posts sticking out of the ground.

"You really think I'm gonna let Thomas back into the maze after what he's done?" Gally asked the Gladers.

My restraints were tied tight and I winced as the rough rope started cutting through my skin.

"Look around you!" Gally exclaimed, angrily. "Look at our Glade! This is the only way."

That was my Que.

"That's bull and you know it, Gally." I blurted out.

"Excuse me?" Gally walked over to me and looked me over.

"I said, that's bull. Thomas found a way out and you're just too much of a coward to find out what's actually out there. You're afraid." I taunted.

I really hoped I was doing this right because the look on Gally's face made me afraid.

Pure hatred burned through his eyes and his hand came across my face hard and fast. A metallic taste filled my mouth and I spat at his feet. Blood.

"Banish me. Or 'offer' me, whatever you wanna call it. But don't deny that this is no longer home." I told him.

"When the Grievers get what they came here for, everything goes back to the way it was." Gally seethed.

"Are you listening to this?" Teresa spoke up. "Why are you all just standing there? He's crazy!"

"You shut up."

"If you stay here, the Grievers are going to come back. They're gonna come back and they're gonna keep coming back until you're all dead!" She explained.

"Shut up!" Gally screamed forcefully. "Tie him up." He pointed to Thomas and everyone watched as his followers hesitated for a moment, taking in what Teresa and I had said. "Do you hear me? I said tie him up!"
