Percy looked at Annabeth, Lyric and Grover. Their faces were grim.

"We were tricked," Percy told them. "Set up."

"Yes, but why?" Annabeth asked. "And the voice in the pit—"

"What pit, you mean Tartarus?" Lyric butted in, "oh that's-"

Annabeth covered Lyric's hand with her mouth, in response she immaturely licked her hand which made the grey eyed girl recoil in disgust.

"What is your problem?"

She shrugged, with a devious grin. Until she remembered what Hades was asking of Percy, she'd already made up her mind she was staying. It made sense anyways, what was Hades gonna do to her ground her?

Not under Persephone and Demeter's watch. She flipped her ring forming her sword, as she caught it her formal gown had changed, she now wore a black cropped tee and cargo pants on the shirt it wrote:

Death girl with a skull underneath.

Now Percy understood what she had meant.

"Decide, boy!" Hades yelled.

"Percy." Grover put his hand on Percy's shoulder. "You can't give him the bolt."

"I know that."

"Leave me here," he said. "Use the third pearl on your mom."

"No!"

"I'm a satyr," Grover said. "We don't have souls like humans do. He can torture me until I die, but he won't get me forever. I'll just be reincarnated as a flower or something. It's the best way."

"No." Annabeth drew her bronze knife. "You two go on. Grover, you have to protect Percy. You have to get your searcher's license and start your quest for Pan. Get his mom out of here. I'll cover you. I plan to go down fighting."

"No way," Grover said. "I'm staying behind."

"Think again, goat boy," Annabeth said.

"Stop it, both of you!" Lyric yelled, "I'm staying- and shut your mouth Percy nothing you say is stopping me" she added when he opened his mouth but he ignored.

"No! Lyric I can't leave you here" he protested, "you're supposed to come back- what about your siblings and Isabel?"

"I'll come back Percy" she assured him.

"Actually I have a proposal" Hades spoke up, Percy gave him a venomous glare. Lyric ignored him and turned to her mentor, "if you stay here for the rest of the year I will let this boy's mother go and call of the war, you will join him at camp to say goodbye and spend the remaining year here"

Lyric nodded, and moved too stand at the foot of his throne, "you will be training with Thanatos and Hippolyta"

"Why can't she just come once a week why trap her-"

"Percy, its fine I accept to his terms"

"Some mentor you have" he grumbled, Hades rose a brow but chose to ignore him. "Lyric, go to your room"
