Author's note:

Hello everyone. I have been very disappointed with the no response treatment you all have given me. But okay, since I have been very much excited for the book and enjoy writing, I'll upload it. It feels like there's no use of giving targets because it's never gonna be achieved, so there won't be any target from now onwards. Enjoy.

It was half past 8 and all my colleagues along with me were eagerly waiting for the meeting to end. My eyes were becoming heavy with each passing second. It was nothing different with the people sitting around me. Collaborations with foreign companies always lead to busy days, tight schedules, and late hour meetings because it might be a night for us but if it is a day for them, we have to work. Ain't no choice.

"So that's how we'll be proceeding. I hope I made myself crystal clear to each one of you." Boss waited for us to reply with full enthusiasm.

"Yes, sir." Everyone replied with an inhuman energy which wasn't there in any one of us a few seconds ago.

"Great. So that's all for today. You guys may leave now. Have a good day." I closed my laptop amd looked out of the window. The weather seemed a bit off today. Heavy and dark clouds were making loud sounds, indicating they were about to shower us with their blessings.

Rain has always been my most favourite phenomenon to occur. The smell of wet soil and the cold breeze flowing along makes me feel refreshed. The sound of rain drops falling on the umbrella increases my dopamine, eventually making me happy and feel blessed. But then I remembered, shit, I wasn't carrying an umbrella with me. I would have to ask for a lift with any one of my colleagues.

But when I looked around, I found no one.... Literally no one... Not even a single human being?

Where the hell did they disappear?

How can they be so fast to just disappear within seconds? Were they that frustrated? I quickly stuffed my laptop and other belongings inside the bag and rushed out in order to reach out for someone.

Even while wearing the heels, I tried to run as fast as I could because I was wearing one of my favourite shirts I ever had and couldn't afford to ruin it with mud and dirt.

I reached the ground floor from the 3rd floor, swinging, jumping against the railings because yes, my office constructors were broke and couldn't afford to build a lift system there
