Rafael knock his knuckles on the door and sent me a pointed look. Rolling my eyes at him, the door pulled open after just three seconds and out came the second in command, Valerio Capone.
The image I saw earlier did not do him justice. With his red hair pulled up into a short bun, he bit into a burning cigar and tilt his head to the side as he stared down at us.
He was huge with a hectic amount of tattoos among his sun kissed skin. His light blue eyes narrowed in curiosity while he scanned me.
"I'm guessing this is Aurora Lopez sì?" Accent strained among the English he tried to speak and I almost smiled at how great his Italian language sound.
He stretch his hand out for a handshake and I narrow my eyes at it, a bit of resistance gathering within me. I didn't want to give him any suspicion so I drop my hands in his and shook it.
"Nice to meet you Mr..." I trailed off even though I knew his name.
Flashing me a cute smile that pop both of the dimples in his cheeks, he said. "Please just call me Valerio but if its no trouble you can just rock with Fire, no."
Nodding with a small smile, he invited me in and I stepped in and instantly admire the large living room which had white walls that was home to white couches and small tables.
A glass fireplace was situated before the couches with a complex art hanging above it. Couple feet away from there stood a staircase that led up to the rest of floors that the building held.
White marble floors overtook the flooring which was very clean as the chandelier hanging above the ceiling glinted through the tiles.
A corridor ran from behind the living room and I was tempted by curiosity to just explore the remaining rooms here.
"Beautiful isn't it?" Fire asked as he closed the front door behind him, Rafael now out of sight.
Frowning at his disappearance, I instantly masked it and smiled as Fire began to move toward the staircase.
"Very." I hummed and run my fingers through Salt's fur. He chuckled then nod his head to the steps.
"Come on let me show you to your room. Do you need help with your dog?"
Fire came across and tried to take Salt out of my hand but the Doberman only growled at him and snuggled further into my bag.
"Wow not really accepting towards strangers huh." Fire grinned as he throw his hands up and I chuckled following behind him.
"Cheetos is the only way to my dearest Salt's heart." I said and this had Fire staring over his shoulder at me in amusement.
"Salt? that's an odd name for a dog."
"Trust me I get that all the time." I laughed and immediately came up on the second floor.
Fire took the hall to his right and I trailed up to him and stop as he keyed the first door.
He opened it after the first try and then drag my suitcase into the large rustic bedroom. The room had wood-look cream floor tiles with wall paneling behind the queen size platform bed.
Couple feet away from the bed the white colored walls had large windows running from the ceiling to floor with white curtains and just behind there it had a large balcony that overlooked the forest.
Two doors were built beside the ceiling to floor windows which I guess belong to the bathroom and closet.
All in all the room was to die for!
"I'll let you get settled in do you need anything like a drink or..." Fire asked as he walked to the door.
Shaking my head, I settle the bag on the bed which Salt saw as an instant opportunity to come out.
"Nahh, I'm alright." I assure him with a smile.
Nodding along he slip outside and then glance over his shoulder and said. "Just rest okay, Lorenzo and Xamuela won't be back until later on this evening seeing that they weren't expecting you to arrive this early."
I quirk a brow at that. I mean Nava said that I should be here by midday because knowing me I was one for being late.
"Okay, no problem."
"Do you maybe want a tour of the mansion after you get settled in?"
Agreeing with a nod he grinned and scratch the side of his jaw. "Alright, I'll give you twenty minutes tops."
He left after that and I couldn't help but took the room in. The scent here was amazing and warm, lucky for me Nava was able to give me a blueprint of the whole mansion that he gave simply for me to memorize the ins and outs just in case things went to shits.
A soft growl and barking snap my eyes from the blue prints on my phone, I cursed underneath my breath as Salt began to drag the sheets from the bed and began to rip them apart.
"Salt what the fuck are you doing." I hiss in disapproval, he stop as I pulled the sheets from his mouth and tap my foot on the floor, glaring down at him.
This was honestly the first I've seen Salt acting up, maybe it was because this was his first time traveling so he's a bit agitated.
Pinching my nose I took him up from the bed and decided to overlook him but that was a bad idea seeing that as I held him in my arms, he grip the collar of my hoodie and began to ripped it apart.
To make matter's worst this was one of my favorite hoodie given to me by River.
Annoyed by his sudden activeness, I set him on the ground. "Get your ass over there right now." I hiss through my teeth.
He whimpered and then walked slowly over to the window and curled up into a ball. I almost felt bad, almost.
Lost in taking off the remaining ripped hoodie, I glance over my shoulder as the door snap open with Fire making his way in.
Couldn't he knock or some shit...
I screech and watch as he shift his eyes away when he notice that I was topless. Turning around quickly to hide my chest area, I heard as he drop my bag on the bed and stutter out a sorry.
Flushing in embarrassment which was concealed by my dark skin, I mumbled a sorry and press my lips together tightly as he laughed.
"Nah that's cool. Just meet me in the living room when you're through, alright?"
Throwing him a thumbs up over my shoulder, I listen as the door closed and then I breathed a sigh, quickly searching through my suit case for something to wear.
I found a nice simple black t-shirt and turn towards Salt who was peeking up at me. Bending towards his level, I opened my arms and he came to me within seconds.
I kissed his head and spoke. "I'll be gone for a few minutes okay, stay here until I come back."
I gave him his toy and allow him to roam the bed while turning on the large TV that was on the wall in front of the bed to keep him company.
Leaving the room after a few minutes, I walk the halls and took the steps down to the living room. The whole house was silent as is and I appreciated it because I can definitely feel an headache coming on.
"I thought you were going to bail."
Fire said as I spotted him sitting on one of the small couch as he crunch on some chips.
A smile tugged on my lips and I replied. "I'm not a let down that's one thing you should know about me."
Standing to his full height he throw some chips in his mouth and grinned. "Well I'm lucky to find me a friend who isn't a disappointment then."
"Don't you think it's a bit too early for me to be considered a friend of Valerio."
Shaking his head he chuckled as we both walked pass the living room into the hall that had glass windows on both sides, displaying the greenery outside.
"Nah, I can feel it deep within my guts that you are worth knowing." He winked and I shook my head at his craziness.
"Ready for the most earth-shattering tour of your life?" Fire asked as his light blue eyes twinkled.
Smirking, I licked my lips and said. "Lead the way boss man."
