CHAPTER 27.

Why when I felt like I was five steps ahead this only proved to me that this investigation was going no where, right now I felt like I was now ten fucking steps backwards.

I cursed underneath my breath when I stared down at the listening devices which were disfigured due to what happened a night ago.

To make matters worst, Lorenzo have been right up my fucking ass with his every gaze, heavily watching my every move.

He even gave Cirano the opportunity to be at every place I went. I didn't know if he suspected me but his actions were obvious which meant that I needed to work on being apparent.

I couldn't give him a reason that I was the one who killed off four of his men. It was purely out of defense, because I know he'd kill me if I didn't do anything to protect who I am.

Lorenzo was weighing his trust and could I even blame him? absolutely not, the woman he was looking for was the one living under his roof.

Eating his food.

Taking care of his only child.

If I was him, I wouldn't trust me either but he wasn't me so now I had to do everything in my power to regain the brute's trust.

Covering my dark brown eyes with the contact lenses, Sveva texted me earlier about going out to the movies with Angel and Xam to watched the movies.

It was currently after six in the evening so I stepped out of the shower, wrapped a towel around my body and with the water trailing behind me, I began to moisturize my skin and pick up the black bodysuit which was open at the back and a tie string that would go around my neck.

It covers my breast area but was cut open at the front, I paired it with a leather short shorts and black leather belt with silver buckles. I push my feet down into some black leather boots and with a small leather bag.

I dropped my phone and the black credit card given to me by Lorenzo into the bag. With some lip-gloss swiped on my lips, I rubbed my lips together and left the room then went over to Xam's door.

I knock and when I heard her little voice screaming for me to come in, I entered in and saw her putting on the clothes we both picked out together earlier.

"Let me put on my lip gliss like you Aurora."

I grinned and then corrected her from the slip. I helped her with swiping some of her grape lip gloss then after we left the room.

She held unto my hands and I smiled as she began mumbling about what movies we would watched together.

We went into the living room and I almost felt bad from the small bruise on Fire's chin from the kick I gave him a night ago.

Don't feel bad you did it to protect yourself, ain't nothing wrong with that....

I sighed as we walked over to him, where he was sitting on the couch with a tooth pick between his lips.

When he notice us, he grinned and then stood up. Xam huffed and then tap my side, I glance down at her and then she pointed to him with a finger.

"Miss. Aurora is he coming?"

Fire walked over to us dressed in a white graphic hoodie and black ripped jeans paired with black tims or in other words, timberlands.

He poked the tip of her nose which she slapped away in an instant. "Why yes, stop behaving as if you don't enjoy my presence Xam."

"I rather go to this movie with a cow than this stupid presence you try to glorpied."

Fire snickered and mocked. "How cute you can't even say the word glorified."

Xam mocked him. "How cute you can't even say the word glorpied..a mean glorified."

I rolled my eyes at their bickering and then I heard the front door pulled open, I glance over my shoulder and watch as Cirano poked his head in.

"The car is ready, Aurora."

I nodded and then the three of us left the mansion, I locked up the doors to the house and with Fire and Xam still going at it, I sighed at their conversations and opened the door to the silver sleek Ferrari Purosangue.

We settled in and then Cirano shifted gear and propel the car forward.

Cirano run his fingers through his black shoulder length hair as he directed the steering with one hand. He was tight lipped at first but eventually he eased himself around us and communicated with us during the ride.

With light blue eyes, he grinned as Fire and Xam went on and on about who they thought were the best characters in seven deadly sins.

He swing the steering and then reversed the car in parked as we pulled up to the movies. We all shuffled out and walked over to the doors which had a handful of people.

Xam let go of my hands and began to ran over to Angelo who was standing beside a Sveva who was talking on the phone.

She looked pretty upset but as she saw us coming she relax her facial expression and hang up the phone.

I also notice the brown skin older woman who Fire had an argument with a few weeks ago, her daughter was by her side as she ate an ice cream while listening to a chatting Angelo.

"Y'all are late, we are approximately five minutes behind, the movie started already." Sveva said.

The woman glances at each of us and then Fire did the honors of commencing the introduction.

"Aurora this is Viviana, Viviana meet the nannnyyy." He sang and I shook my head at the crack in his voice.

We both shook hands. "Nice to meet you."

She smiled, after which I felt Xam shaking my hands. Lifting a brow at her, she blink up at me with her innocent eyes.

"Which movie are we seeing?"

"Aqua man, the lost kingdom." Viviana said and with an excited squeal, the kids clap their hands as they began to talked about what they wanted to see.
