Muffle voices slid into my hearing, I felt a restriction around both of my wrist as I moved them and that quickly snap me back to the present which immediately pulsate the organ in my chest.

I hissed as I stared behind the ski mask, an headache echoed into my head as I realize that the cause of it was because of the blaring light below me which was coming from the pool.

I was on my knees, with a rope tied around both of my wrist behind my back with Lorenzo standing above me.

A hand was in his pockets while the other was busy supporting the blunt between his lips, when he notice I was fully awaken, he smirked coldly down at me. His dark eyes darkening up immediately as we held eye contact.

He wanted to inflict fear but I was far from it, if anything, I felt calm too calm as we continued to stare.

The minutes dragged on until he crouched down to my level, he place the blunt behind his ears and stretched a hand towards me then tightly gripped my chin.

I gritted my teeth as he tilt my head back and bring his lips to my ears. I couldn't help it as I closed my eyes, inhaling his overpowering aura and his leather musk scent.

"You fell perfectly into my trap bella, thought you were smarter than that..." He whispered in my ears and I decided to keep my mouth shut.

Lorenzo knew my voice and would easily spotted out who I was all along. I couldn't afford for that to happened.

Shit I should have listen to Rafael and lay off for a few months.

He was beginning to trust me and I couldn't afford him to loose it, I needed to formulate a plan as to how I'd get out of this.

The risk, mindfulness and scope is all apart of this job as an undercover cop. I knew that this would happen somehow but I wasn't expecting it to happen in just a month.

Lorenzo chuckled at my silence, his hand tightening around my neck, eyes burning into mine with a heat that made the rest of the room fade away.

But I couldn't look away. Those irises of his were magnetic too sharp, too focused, too him.

"Not much of a talker, bella..." His smirk was low, dangerous.

The squeeze around my neck forced a soft gasp from me behind the mask, my teeth clenching instinctively. His pupils widened instantly, frustration flashing across his face as if he could feel my defiance through the fabric.

"Don't worry, I'll get you to talk..." He leaned closer, brushing his nose against mine, eyes drilling into mine with predatory precision.

"I am merciless when it comes to getting what I want." His thumb rubbed along the edge of the ski mask, shifting the fabric closer to revealing me.

I couldn't let him see my face. Not now. Not ever.

In one fluid motion, I snapped my head forward into his nose, a sharp, precise headbutt. He grunted and his hands released me. I rolled to the side, swinging a leg up to land a solid kick into his chest.

He stumbled back, surprised but not defeated. He lunged, moving faster than I expected, and I ducked, rolling under his reach and kicking out, connecting with his thigh.

Lorenzo grunted as he shuffled back and I quickly stand, footsteps came up behind me and I prepared myself for the attack from his men as I turn to their direction.

Six men stood there including Fire and Rafael who position into a stance.

Another man charged from the shadows, but I pivoted on my back, using the bound hands' slack to sweep his legs and flip him onto the floor.

Another man stepped forward, gun aimed straight at me. I swung my bound hands over my head, looping them around his neck, and bent forward, pressing my head into his chest.

Using his body as leverage, I flipped upside down, slamming him onto his back with a heavy thud.

I twisted his neck sharply to the side, and he went limp, out cold.

Before I could even catch my breath, a strong arm snaked around my neck from behind. I grit my teeth as pressure squeezed tight, forcing my head forward against his grip.

Anger surged through me, replacing the calm I had clung to. I rolled onto my side, forcing the man who had me in a choke hold to land on top of me.

His weight pressed down, but I refused to submit. Every muscle coiled, ready to fight back, my hands still bound behind me.

He grinned cockily as he held me below his body, it wasn't for long. I needed to get out of here. Shit. With my hands stilled tied behind me, I widen my legs and push my hips forward in a force which swing us around that place me now on top.

His eyes widen and I narrowed mine as adrenaline rush through my system.

I didn't have much time to give him a proper death seeing that from the corner of my eyes I notice three more men coming beside me so I wrap my tied wrist around his neck and snap it.

I stand and rest my back on the wall as I mapped out the remaining three men in the middle of the room.

Fire and Rafael position their bodies in a fighting stance and from the corner of my eyes I saw Lorenzo snapping out his gun from a drawer.

Resting a leg on the wall, I push off from it which propels me up into the air.

With my hands still around my back, I spin my body around and then with a round house kick, it landed right into Fire's chest.

I step back with a leg and turn my body around fully, bending down to avoid the flying fist coming from Rafael, he grinned at me and I rolled my eyes at him.

I swing my bounded hands towards his face but he bend his head down to avoid it, he grip my shoulder with a hand and then almost in sync we bend a leg which placed my legs in between his.

"Knee me in the balls."

"Are you fucking mad that'll hurt."

"Do it Red, we can't give Lorenzo a reason that we are working together." He whispered and I used my bended knee and bring it up into his balls.

Rafael grunted as he fell to the ground on his side, I quickly untied the ropes when I realize it had slacken during the fight and side stepped the upper cut from the last man.

My chest moved up and down as Lorenzo snap his gun towards me from his desk.

He release the trigger but I quickly yank both arms of the man behind his back and twist his body around in front of me to shield me from the bullets.

I walked backwards to the steps with the now heavy dead man as his body jolted up with the shots as it pierced him.

In anger, Lorenzo yelled out in the basement.

"This isn't over, bella."

"I'll find you!"

I grinned as the blood from the now dead man soaked me, I shoved him down to the floor and ran up the steps, grinning as he continued to cursed out loudly into the basement.
