Flashes from cameras lit up the blue carpet as Walker's moment in the spotlight unfolded. I was hesitant to join in the family photos, feeling like an outsider.
"Why aren't you jumping in?" Walker asked, a mischievous look on his face.
"It's a family photo. I don't want to intrude," I explained.
Walker, with his usual charm, grabbed my arm and pulled me between him and his sister. I ended up in the photo with my arm around his waist and his arm resting on my shoulder.
After the premiere, Walker insisted on taking more photos. He posed with me in various setups before heading off for interviews. Leena and I took the opportunity to mingle and enjoy the afterparty.
The afterparty was a glamorous affair. When Leah arrived, I was impressed by her grace. Leena introduced me to her.
"And who's this?" Leah asked, smiling at me.
"This is Rory, a friend from school," Walker said.
"Hi, I'm Rory," I said, shaking her hand.
Throughout the evening, I met a lot of people but mostly kept to myself, feeling a bit out of my element.
"Hey, Walker, we should get going," Leena said, giving us the signal to leave.
"So, how was meeting everyone?" Walker asked as we walked out.
"It was cool, but I felt a bit shy," I admitted.
"Don't worry about it. Everyone's pretty down-to-earth. Oh, and Dior said you looked great tonight," Walker said, making me smile. We headed back to the hotel after everyone in the cast enjoyed pizza at a pizzeria close by the premier , where I changed into something more comfortable and collapsed into bed, likely forgetting to take off my makeup in the whirlwind of the day.
