"Make it four," a familiar voice chimed in behind me.
I turned around.
"Walker!" I exclaimed, getting up and wrapping my arms around his waist, his arms around my shoulders.

"Oh my gosh, what are you doing here?" I pulled away to look at Walker.
"The spirits told me you're here," he winked.
He sat down with us.

"Lovebirds, may I guess?" Miles teased.

Leah and Leanne exchanged glances, clearly enjoying the unexpected turn of events.

"Oh, no, we're just friends," I quickly clarified, feeling my cheeks warm.

Walker grinned, "Well, friends or not, I couldn't resist crashing your ice cream party. I happen to be in town for interviews and thought I'd surprise you."

Leah nudged me playfully, "Looks like your birthday is starting early!"

We all continued chatting and laughing, catching up on the time we missed. Walker's presence brought a mix of excitement and uncertainty, but for that moment, surrounded by friends at the park, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the unexpected reunion.

"Oh also meet miles he's a old friend of mines! " I said

"Nice to meet you, Miles," Walker said, extending a hand.

Miles shook it with a friendly smile, "Lory here used to be the star of our elementary school plays. Good times."

As we all sat together, enjoying the ice cream and the company, I realized how much had changed since Walker and I had last spoken. The dynamics between us were different, and I couldn't help but wonder if things could go back to the way they were.

"Hey, we need to head out; my mom mentioned you're heading home," Leah informed, glancing up from her phone.
"Well, that's perfect timing because I need to go too," Miles chimed in, rising from his seat.

As we all got up the girls started talking with miles which made us stop walking, I was caught in a whirlwind of emotions. Walker's unexpected appearance stirred up a mix of joy, surprise, and uncertainty. I kept stealing glances at him, trying to figure out if this encounter meant something more than just a chance meeting.

"So, Rory, any plans for your birthday week?" Miles asked

"Im having brunch with Leanne and Leah tomorrow I have an audition actually and me and Leanne are going to our Airbnb tomorrow and I guess the rest is just exploring I guess? " I replied, trying to keep it casual.

"That sounds awesome. I hope the audition goes well," Miles encouraged.

"Yeah, me too," I sighed, my thoughts wandering back to the unresolved feelings and unanswered questions surrounding Walker.

Leanne, sensing the tension, chimed in, "We should probably get going too. Walker, we'll see you around?"

Walker finally looked up from his phone, offering a smile, "Yeah, definitely. Have a great birthday week, Rory."

As we walked away, I couldn't help but glance back, wondering if Walker's casual demeanor masked sentiments similar to mine.

When we arrived my mom was already outside waiting for us.
"Grab your stuff were going" my mom walked to us I nodded and walked inside of the house to grab my stuff

As I entered the house to grab my belongings, I couldn't shake the mixed emotions swirling within me. The unexpected reunion with Walker left me grappling with unresolved feelings. Leanne and Leah followed me inside, and I hastily collected my things, trying to maintain composure.

Leanne whispered, "Rory, are you okay?"

I forced a smile, "Yeah, I'm fine. Let's just head home."

We made our way back to the car and said our goodbyes and left.

so I won't include the auditioning process in the story since I want then to be as accurate because I hate when fanfics make them so unaccurate 😭
