When we arrived at Leah's house, she and her mom were already outside. As soon as Leah saw us, she ran over, and I opened the door to join her in a hug.

"Oh my god, I'm so happy to see you again!" Leah said excitedly.

"Same!" I replied. "Oh, and this is my friend Leanne. She came on the trip with me!" I introduced them, and they hugged before we all went inside.

"You've changed so much since the premiere!" Leah exclaimed.

"It's only been two months," I chuckled.

"How long are you staying?" she asked as we headed upstairs to her room.

"Leanne is staying only until next week. Her dad is picking her up on Monday, I think. As for me, I'll be here for two weeks, maybe longer," I said.

"Depending on auditions," Leanne added. "Well, don't mention that," she said, catching Leah's intrigued look.

"You do acting?" Leah asked.

"Yeah, but mostly plays and commercials," I explained, grabbing some snacks from her desk. "Do I look familiar?" I asked, holding up a pack of Haribos. "I did two Haribo commercials when I was eight."

"That's why you looked familiar! You were on my TV screen all the time," Leah said, and we all laughed.

"Hey, Rory, now that we're alone, I wanted to ask you about Walker. What happened?" Leah asked as Leanne left for the bathroom. The topic had been weighing heavily on me, and I had been wanting to discuss it for hours. I missed Walker terribly, and, to be honest, I think I like him. I just don't know what to do.

"Now that you brought it up, I feel like crying," I said, sighing and standing to face her. "During the premiere, my mom and dad saw the photos we took. They weren't happy about it. I have this strict rule when it comes to boys for some reason. When they found out I was friends with Walker, they were furious. Walker and I stopped talking, and we even ended our after-school study hangouts. I miss him so much; words can't describe it. He was the only one who really got me. He was my only friend too," I confessed, feeling the weight of my emotions lift slightly.

"I'm really sorry, Rory. That must be tough. You and Walker had such an adorable bond; he used to talk about you all the time," Leah said, her eyes showing sympathy. She seemed lost in thought for a moment.

"I've got an idea!" Leah suddenly exclaimed. "The cast is planning a Super Bowl get-together the week after next. Maybe I could invite you and your mom. You could meet his mom while you hang out!"

Leanne walked back into the room just as Leah finished explaining the plan. "What's up?" she asked.

Leah shared the idea, and Leanne's face lit up. "Oh my god, yes! That would be amazing. You should totally do that!" she said. We all laughed and got excited about the prospect.

I noticed a notification from my Gmail. "Weird, I got a message from my Gmail. I never get any unless it's about school," I remarked.

"Maybe it's spam?" Leanne suggested.

"No, I only get notifications for important stuff," I replied, opening the email. My face lit up with excitement. "OH MY GOD, I GOT A CALLBACK!" I yelled. Everyone in the room erupted in screams and cheers.

"They want me to do some more auditions, and they're in LA too!" I shared, thrilled. Leah jumped up, saying, "We're so celebrating. I don't know what we're doing, but we're going out." We rushed to find my mom and share the incredible news.
