"HAEUN!" HER DAD barged through her door, not even bothering to knock. "What?" Haeun snapped, looking up from her phone. She was sat on her bed, back resting against the assortment of pillows.
"I have some of Won's old books," he allowed himself to enter the room, carrying a huge stack of neatly preserved text and composition books.
"Won?" Haeun cocked an eyebrow. "Won is your new tutor" her dad clarified, placing the books on her desk and pushing them back so they rested against the wall.
"So basically if I look at these books, it will help me become a genius?" she asked, placing her phone down next to her and getting off of her bed.
"No, he was supposed to come today, but had some urgent work" her dad replied, watching as Haeun peered through the stack of books. "So his dad came and dropped off his books. But you will be studying these materials anyways," he concluded, placing his hands in his pockets.
"I have a press conference at noon," he flicked his right hand over and glanced at the golden watch which decorated his wrist. "For what?" Haeun looked up from her desk.
"The app. It's going crazy popular, they want me to speak on it" he boasted, a hint of triumph appearing in his voice. "Well, good luck!" Haeun gave a small smile.
"I'll get going now," he said, walking back towards the door. "Start studying the materials today so you have a head start when he comes in tomorrow" he finished sternly.
"Yup" Haeun assured him with a nod of her head. She let out a deep sigh as he shut the door behind him. She slumped down back onto her bed, her pink tennis skirt crinkling underneath her.
She picked up her phone, opening up the app that everyone seemed to be talking about lately.
